Staff were all professional, personable and efficient. Check-in process was smooth. Our room was cleaned perfectly, with all of the inclusions that you would expect from a stay in a hotel. Despite its proximity to the airport, the room was well sound-proofed so there were no noise problems. The restaurant on-site had a good menu, and the bar was well stocked so plenty of choices in both areas. The food delivered was as listed on the menu and very tasty. Prices were on the expensive side, but expected given the location. A free shuttle service is offered to get you to your plane on time which is very convenient.

We stayed for a 1 night layover heading overseas and 1 night on the way back to Perth. We were in a 2 Double Beds Superior room at the front of the hotel. The room was very clean and we had space to spread out with all the basic ammenities you need. There was no noise from the planes from the airport. It is possible to walk from the airport to the Hotel through the carpark but be wary of the major road you will need to cross and they do offer a free shuttle service (booking required). Special note - On the trip back we required an early check in (A.M.) and the wonderful staff allowed us to check into our room early.

I really enjoyed this hotel. It is about 400m from the airport so walking is an option. They have a shuttle, but you can walk it by the time shuttle arrives. I arrived around 8 A>M and there were no rooms open, when for a run and when I got back i could check in( 9:00). They have lots who leave very early in the day. Check in was great. Isabella was super friendly and helpful. The room - the beds were super comfortable, soft sheets and a soft and firm pillow to choose from. Bathroom towels were soft and large. Microwave and fridge in the room, coffee, tea and even milk in the fridge. Room had a safe as well. The room was VERY clean and nice and bright. I felt very comfortable staying here and would not hesitate to stay here again. There is an airport bus for about $20 that goes in and out if the city. Return ticket is $40ish.

Extremely long process to check in, with staff hidden behind large computer screen. He tapped slowly away on his computer for about 15 minutes. Given an awful room on the first floor with disabled bathroom. I am 6'2"and not disabled, the sink was almost at knee level. AHG hotels seem to punish you for booking through Tivago by giving you the crappiest room they have (just my observation)

We flew in at 11.50 pm and they have shuttle service until 1.30 am. We called many times from the airport and no one picked up our call. We even called their reservation line and the person who picked up was in a different part of the world and connected us back to the hotel where no one picked up. So we ended up paying to take a taxi to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we told the receptionist that no one answered our call. She said they are short staffed and she has to take care of many things and cannot be at the desk all the time!!!! When she asked us if we wanted breakfast at $24, I asked her if they can give it to us as complimentary because of what had happened with the shuttle. She said we were pushing it and asking for too much! So we paid for the breakfast and when we got there, the lady in charge was so frazzled and not friendly at all! Was scared to ask her for anything! Maybe they were short staffed there as well! Overall, we weren’t happy with their customer service!

I was surprised to have accomodation at the airport for less than in the city. The room is a little tired but was clean and the beds were very comfy. We spent time on the bad and had snacks there and everything was great. Also they start serving hot coffee at the bar in the morning by 5:30am and have a free shuttle service to the airport would stay again if I need to catch an early flight out or even an afternoon flight as checkout is at 11am.

We arrived into Melbourne after a very emotional & stressful day and as young backpackers fell into the trap of booking a cheap horrible hotel on the outskirts. We immediately left and booked holiday inn and when we arrived we were greeted with an amazing lady called Tiffany. I’m a young girl who has really been struggling especially apon arrival to the hotel and Tiffany was absolutely amazing at calming me down and making me feel at ease, she got us sorted with a room (which was so clean and cosy) and was real comfort to both myself and my partner. Located within walking distance to Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport. The hotel is situated behind the car park so a quick walk through the car park will have you at the Airport. The hotel is a little dated but rooms are clean and comfortable and have all necessary amenities. The hotel restaurant was open till late so we were able to grab a reasonably priced meal. Breakfast was in the same restaurant, quite a basic buffet, food had been there a while as the pancakes were stiff however the restaurant staff were very helpful and bought out fresh pancakes and anything we asked for. If requiring a hotel near the Airport, this hotel is reasonably priced and in a great location.

The room was spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Slippers and dental kits were provided (but you need to collect them at the front desk). We ordered room service at night as we were starving and all restaurants near the hotel were closed. The food was much better than expected though. The garlic bread was excellent! The carpet in the hotel lobby needs a deep clean as I could feel some fleas jumping on my legs. On another note, we were suddenly woken up by a noise at 9:30am cos someone knocked on our door and then tried to barge in on us in our room. We were totally freaked out as we thought other guests were trying to get in! Luckily we had locked the door the night before so that the person couldn't enter our room. In hindsight, she was a housekeeper. To be honest, we couldn't go back to sleep after waking up. At 10:45am, the housekeeper knocked on our door again and we told her we would check out at 11am. I have no idea why hotel housekeeper knocked and even barged in on us in our room hours before checkout time? But apart from this, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel
