We booked 2 powered sites with friends on the riverfront. On our arrival we were greeted by the friendly owners who gave us a run down of park amenities and told us about a market that was being held that night just around the corner. The Taggerty Twilight market is well worth a visit if its on when you are visiting- big assortment of local foods, beers, wine and music.
We had a beautiful clear view of the river, site was clear and fire drum with wood delivered to site (booked and paid for at the office). The amenities block looks fairly new and was only 20 metres from our campsite. We noticed lots of things to do like inground pool, games room, mini golf, jumping pillow etc but we were happy around our campfire. Lots of trees for shade and plenty of space to park our vehicle on our campsite. Easy trip from Melbourne for the weekend so we will be visiting again soon!

We know how you feel about relaxing around the campfire! We offer so many activities for families and there's always plenty to see and do nearby but sometimes the most fun can be enjoyed just hanging out with friends and staring at the views! We look forward to welcoming you back for some more relaxation another time.

Taggerty park has a lot to offer, plenty of stuff for the kids to do. Games room, mini golf , tennis courts, pool , basket ball etc.
Some nights they run outdoor movie nights.
The sites vary a lot, you can get a cabin or powered sites ( some with en-suites),
Unpowered sites as well they have a huge area down the back of the park.
There a great river that runs through the park, good for swimming and fishing, limited access though so most of the people end up cramped in the same area.
I would stay here again, but in the quite times. It’s a very busy park.

Probably my only complaint is that they should clean the toilet/shower blocks twice a day in the busy times, as the lark can be dusty and muddy at times which makes the areas quite dirty..

We have visited this caravan park a couple of times, and would highly recommend. Taggerty is a bit remote, so if you are looking for somwhere to walk into town, go to a restaurant, probably not the place for you, but if you are looking for a beautiful country escape, with beautiful views, warm fires, good facilities, and a good location for discovering the cathedral ranges, this place is perfect. The park has a pool, jumping pillow, mini golf, fishing in the river, friendly wildlife, and even the elusive platypus if you are lucky enough to spot one in the river! The park shop is also well equipped. There is plenty of space for the kids to cycle around and play. A lovely camping spot.

Visited the Big 4 campgrounds recently and unfortunately, the experience fell short. The grounds were poorly maintained with overgrown weeds and grass. The dump point was overflowing multiple times during our week-long stay. Communication regarding safety during unexpected weather was lacking, and we were met with rudeness when reporting issues. Suggesting that the owners invest in a customer service course for a more successful business. The lack of communication about river heights and safety was concerning. Additionally, the tennis court being overrun with weeds, toilets cleaned only once a day, and an inadequately sized pool for the number of guests were notable drawbacks. Suggest exploring alternative parks in the area before booking with Big 4 Taggerty, Lake Eildon is stunning

We came for an impromptu overnight stay and we’re lucky enough to score a riverside powered site along the Acheron. Big spacious sites, ours was 13 x 11mtrs (P83), but sandy but still plenty of grass.

Reception was very welcoming and helpful.
Made the post of the pool and BBall court for the time we had.

The park has some beautiful gumtrees and it’s fair share of bird life. Met some other really nice campers in the camp kitchen which basically catered for everything in case you forgot something at home.

Fire pits are available for hire which added to a brilliant Sat night by the river.

Will def be coming back with the whole family and easily spend a week.

Disappointing customer service from the manager of the park- MATHEW. Do not recommend staying in this park. My parents rented a cabin and had an issue with the toilet- the tank was not filling up and as a result it was not flushing. This happened on the day that we checked in but Mathew actually blamed us for breaking the toilet even though it was only used once, therefore, was clearly broken from the start. Mathew came multiple times to “fix” the toilet but we still had the same issue every time we used it. He was very arrogant throughout our stay and never once apologised for the inconvenience caused. He also acted violently by driving off when my partner was trying to have a conversation with him. He repeatedly said “I can’t get a plumber to come in on the weekend, what would you like me to do?” in an angry and arrogant tone instead of trying to offer us some solutions. At one stage he offered us compensation for one night’s stay but then said “what’s the point if you are going to give me a bad review anyway?” In the cabin, the grill and tv were also not working. Very disappointing as we booked our stay for my birthday and Mathew’s attitude completely ruined it. The least he could have done was offer a refund from the start and apologised for the inconvenience caused. We checked out on 13/02/22 and as of 15/02/22, there has been no refund issued.

Pmelvina99, thank you for your feedback. Please be assured that we take all feedback seriously and it helps us improve our team training for the benefit of all guests. We are very sorry to have disappointed you on this occasion as your experience is not what we hope to deliver for all our valuable guests. We aspire to offer visitors a happy, memorable holiday and going by the vast majority of positive reviews, our team succeeds most of the time. However, it seems we let you down on this occasion, and we apologise. Unfortunately, we were not aware of any issues with the grill or TV during your stay. If we had known, we could have resolved them promptly. Our manager promptly attended to the toilet and rectified it as best he could without access to an after-hours plumber as explained. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience during your stay and wish you and your family all the best and happy travels in the future. The BIG4 Taggerty Team

First time visitors to this park with our caravan. Although the town of Taggerty itself has little to offer it’s an ideal central location to base yourself for touring about and visiting nearby Alexandra, Eildon and Marysville. In respect to this large park it is very family friendly with a multitude of games, a heated pool, playground and equipment to entertain the kids. The powered sites are spacious with a number of river side options. There are free bbqs and a well equipped camp kitchen and the managers are nice.

Park in a beautiful location , we didn’t realise that caravan park had no convenient shops and we were directed back to Healesville some 30 minutes away, to have a meal.
We ended up staying with family at Healesville to avoid travelling over the very windy road 3 or 4 times.
Viewed cabin which although very clean was very dated and showing signs of wear and tear.
Located In a fantastic spot.

Great park lots to do. Either fishing in the river or hanging out by the pool with an abundance of single mums a catch is guaranteed. A short drive to Alexandra to grab a coffee or stock up on food makes life easy.
