The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. You felt like you were family. The rooms were upstairs and quite secure, my only complaint is the stairs, of which there are a few, which meant carting luggage up and down the stairs. Probably not really suitable for older people,or,people with bad knees. The rooms were clean and modern , the freeway was 1 minute away and you couldn’t hear any noise. Buffet was yummy. Would definitely recommend for short term stays. Thanks guys enjoyed our time there.

Booked online and stated must be ground floor room. When i arrived to book in was informed that they don't have ground floor rooms or a lift. I have mobility issues so climbing the stairs was hard especially as there is no proper hand rail for most of the way up. When you get to the top of the stairs there is a door but it opens back onto the stairs meaning you are pushed off the ledge and onto the stairs again. There was also broken bottles on the stairs. The room boasts a rainfall shower but the pressure isn't strong enough to give the big shower head enough water and it was also spraying everywhere. The bathroom was small and pokey. Wifi was difficult to log into and was extremely slow. The TV was also slow to load. There was a lot of light coming into the room at night, especially as the curtains didn't fully cover the windows and anyone walking past could peek in. The bar downstairs had loud thumping music til the early hours of the morning and obviously no soundproofing in the rooms, plus could hear the people screaming in the beer garden. They promote that they have kingcoil pillowtop beds on everything. The bed was comfy and the pillows nice and puffy. But seriously the bed was the only good thing about this place. The bedside tables didn't have a shelf or drawer. I honestly did not feel my car was secure in the car park, even though nothing happened to it.

Had our sons 21st party at the Elliot’s bar. Great venue for this age group as completely separate from rest of hotel. Generous amount of food and the staff were amazing and the party organisation was a breeze as all done for you so could just relax and enjoy the party with our guests. Highly recommend.

Went there for the feast buffet on Tuesday night with a group. Was disappointed as the quality of the food was only average, lukewarm and seemed like they had been sitting in the warmer for hours. Not recommended to go there during the week at all

Having a 10 year old who still loves a playground and the occasional balloon animal, a buffet is great. That being said, we don't like her to just have greasy unhealthy options. What we enjoyed about the Manhattan was the taco station, more Asian vegetable options and fresh salads. These are a thing of the past....... The food is heavily fried (especially the typical kids options) not every child wants to live on nuggets and chips... As a vegan I would usually choose some roast veg, Asian options and salads. The salads were boring and tasteless or heaving covered with mayonnaise, the Asian vegetables were not topped up so not a few overlooked bits of broccoli and carrot, the Taco station gone and seeing it all sitting there for hours looking exactly like that's how long it had been there, was unappealing. Dessert for me was fruit or fruit. My husband who normal eats like there's no food coming ever again, half heartedly had some dried out meat and and vegetable, 2 mouthfuls of soup and was ready to go. Overall the buffet is uninspired and grease laden. We used to go there quite regularly but are unlikely to return.

This place is low level. Went there for a teens birthday dinner. Manhattan Feast it's called.$28/head gets you a smorgasbord of highly un nutritional rubbish food ranging from pizza with virtually zero toppings to greasy spring rolls, mini dim sim, chips, lasagne that wouldn't pass for dog food and roast beef that was drier than the Sahara! Kids obviously love it, particularly the never ending dessert bar. Stay away.

The Manhattan Hotel in Ringwood offers incredible value smorgasbord lunch for Seniors for an extremely reasonable $15 per head which includes a $2 venue voucher. Now THAT I call a value for money. The management of this modern hotel should be congratulated for looking after this ever growing segment of Australian population. It also makes economic sense because the place is full of seniors who enjoy the modern decor and, in particular, a wide selection of good quality smorgasbord dishes. On offer are calamari, fish, pizza, roast, pork, various Chinese meals, beautiful potatoes, mussels, and many other tasty dishes. Included is a wide selection of deserts, ice cream, fruit and salads. Perhaps the only dish I would stay away from would be the fish which I suspect is the Basa fish probably sourced from Vietnam. Apart from that, go for it! The voucher may be used towards the purchase of drinks. This being a smorgasbord allowes you to have as many helpings as you wish. The staff are very friendly and helpful indeed. As the venue is fully carpeted, it is not particularly noisy and you can easily hold a meaningful conversation. There is plenty of parking and should you be silly enough you may spend a fortune on poker machines next door. This is a typical Australian pub venue. Clean and friendly. These days you have to search hard to find an eating place which would offer value for money. The price of food is ever increasing and it is thus commendable to see the Manhattan Hotel doing the right thing. The Senior's Lunches are available from Monday to Friday. As these lunches are for obvious reason very popular, it is advisable to book. In addition to these spectacular lunches they also run Seafood dinners which cost Seniors a very reasonable $24. One may find further information on these on the Hotel's web site. I do not allocate five stars to anyone lightly. But in this case five stars are fully deserved. So, congratulations to the management for the job well done!!

As a Monty's rewards member my friend suggested we have a 'Feast' lunch for her birthday. There is a 2 for 1 members' deal on the first Tuesday of the month. Her birthday was in January however the February and March options were fully booked so I booked for April. I received an email from Manhattan on the day before my booking asking me to confirm which I did. Arrived at the hotel to learn that there was no record of my booking and that both people had to produce a membership card. My friend is also a member but did not have her card with her and there was no way staff could confirm it so I had to pay for the two of us. As there was no record of my booking we were shown to a shared table. Not a good start to her belated birthday treat. As this was a buffet 'Feast' we had to take a plate and cue for our selection. Ample variety and quantity however very basic preparation. There was a salad and dessert bar, again very basic. People obviously attend to eat as much as possible in the shortest time. The tables are close together making it difficult to leave and return to the table and the noise level is overwhelming. Staff promptly cleared used plates from tables. When I emailed the hotel about my experience the return email was worded in such a way as to intimate that I had not booked and was lucky that staff had found us a table. I responded with a copy of the booking confirmation email. Needless to say this is one venue I will not return to.

We went here for a family dinner recently and it was not as good as usual. Dry pork, the asian dish was inedible couldn't tell what it was. The roast potatoes tasted old and stale. The only things I enjoyed from the dinner menu were the roast beef, the scalloped potatoes and pumpkin. Pizza was dry, lasagne tasted like sugar prob from the cheap sugary pasta sauce. For dessert, the choc mousse was sour but the cheesecake and pavlova were nice. Overall prob wouldn't go back in a hurry. Good for seniors because it's cheaper and value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful that's the biggest positive.
