Due to the storms and electricity being out we decided to stay at the Sebel look last night, firstly my first impressions as I walked in was what a breath of fresh air into Ringwood. From making the reservation over the phone to arrival the service was very warm & friendly. The rooms are just lovely and have a lovely feel of luxury. The bed was just so comfy and loved the blackout curtains in the 1 bedroom apartment. Baby cot was comfortable for bubs and he slept well. Breakfast in the morning was easy and cooked to order, the Orchid restaurant was very cool and modern with open kitchen and will definitely be back for dinner. I think this restaurant will be a cool, modern place to hang out in Ringwood. We definitely will be back for a staycation.

Last time in Rongwood we stayed elsewheere because the Sebell was still under construction. This time with Accor membership the price was slightly better so I gave it a try and was not disappointed. The room was spacious for one and quite well laid out with plenty of storage so you could actually unpack. Everything worked well in the room. I was pleasantly surprised to find a nespresso machine in the room as well as sachets of ordinary instant coffee. A selection of Dilmah teas was also included. Housekeeping came during the day and made the bed and did the bins. The restaurant was a bit pricing for what they had on offer. with no "simple" menu items available. Eg egg, bacon & tomato for breakfast or steak & veg for dinner.
On arrival the key coding machine was broken and I was able to leave my bag and head out. When I checked in much later in the day it was working and I was given 2 drinks vouchers. I thought I would use one each day for coffee, but with teh Nespresso that was unnecessary. On Wednesday after a big day at the Museum it was cold and wet outside so I thought a glass of port would be a nice nightcap, but they didn't have any in the bar. Ahh the problems of a new facility as they get everything properly stocked.
Despite this little issue it was a great stay with friendly staff. Comfortable room, welcoming environment and close to everything i needed all at the right price.

I had 2 spare days to fill in and chose to stay in Ringwood where I was born a looong time ago.
What an absolute gem!! Opened only 12 months ago, it is beautifully appointed. I selected a room with a balcony and was very happy to find it over 2m x 3m in size. The room itself was extremely comfortable, luxuriously appointed.
The restaurant is excellent, 2 breakfasts and an evening meal were all delicious.
Within walking distance of everything in Ringwood, The Sebel is thoroughly recommended. I would consider staying here and using rail to get into Melbourne rather than staying in Melbourne.

We paid for an 'apartment' which was very disappointing - nothing more than a standard motel room with some prefab walls around the bed!
Breakfast was an unforgettable experience though. Partner is coeliac so we asked for an omelette with tomato and mushroom. Tough right? The 'cook' sent the waiter (no more than a teenage gawky boy) out to our table to specifically deliver a message that "ordinarily she wouldn't do that but because the restaurant wasn't overly crowded we were lucky she would today". There was no other message or anything else from the waiter. We thought wow!!!
Looking around the room there was one other table with three business guys who'd already been served so literally no one else in the entire restaurant waiting on food. Who does that? Possibly the worst service line we've ever experienced anywhere on the planet and we've been to thousands of places. Food was ordinary but we'll never forget the lazy ar#$ed cook that day no matter what.
We also had to ask geeky waiter three times for a jug of water for the table and after the third time without result just go and get it ourselves (no, there was still no-one else in the restaurant) but at that point we thought it was just hysterical rather than unusual.
Never ever again.

We have spent three weeks at the Sebel in Ringwood, and every aspect has been excellent. Our suite, (504) has been so comfortable, with all the amenities we need to enjoy our stay. The kitchenette is well equipped with oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and Nespresso coffee supplied every day.
The bed has been so comfortable, especially important for travellers from Europe, when jet lag can be an issue. The bathroom is spacious and has plenty of daylight. The housekeeping team maintain the room in perfect cleanliness.
Having 2 TV's is an extra feature, and the choice of channels is good.
Every day, we were served our breakfast by Barbie, a delightful lady who made us so welcome and the chef gave us a wide selection of dishes, cooked to perfection.
This hotel is brilliantly managed and we would not hesitate to return in future.
The bed has been so comfortable, especially important for travellers from Europe, when jet lag can be an issue. The bathroom is spacious and has plenty of daylight. The housekeeping team maintain the room in perfect cleanliness.

The Sebel Ringwood has so many good points. It’s close to transport, shops and restaurants. It offers full king-size beds, and a large bathroom with a night-light. It’s set up for modern travel – we were able to charge all our devices at once from the numerous power points and USB plugs. The staff are overall very professional. So we will definitely stay at the Sebel again.
The one downside was breakfast. We had to make an early start, so we were pleased to see that breakfast starts at 6 am on a weekday. It didn’t work as planned. There’s no buffet, we ordered cooked meals. There was only one cook, he hadn’t prepared in advance, so he ambled in and out of the storeroom getting ingredients, and our breakfasts arrived close to 6:30. My portion turned out to be very small, so I went looking for fruit. There’s none! No fruit salad, no bowl of bananas and oranges, nothing! So I left the hotel hungry. Because breakfast had taken so long, we had to rush to brush our teeth, do a final pack, and hurry to catch our train.
I would much prefer what I’ve seen in other hotels of the same standard, where there’s a buffet plus a cook who makes to order dishes like omelettes, scrambled eggs, or full English. Before I forget, breakfast at the Sebel included freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee from an espresso machine, which were both very good.

The room was spacious, modern and extremely clean. Shower had both a rain showered and corded shower head. Slept well on the bed and great choice of quality pillows. Service was excellent as well, from reception and room service. Restaurant not open Monday nights. Breakfast in the restaurant the next day was cooked to your liking and the restaurant is first class. Great value for money, 5 star with a four star price tag.

As a regular business traveler across Melbourne I lucked upon this hotel and now regularly stay here for its great rooms, good breakfasts, friendly staff and great location. Checkin was a breeze. It was nice and quick. The Staff were all friendly. Breakfast at the Orchard was yummy. The room was spacious and new. Nice and clean. We loved the rain shower. The beds were comfortable, including the sofa bed that the 2 children slept on.
The downside…. The night club across the road plays music ALL night. Pack your ear plugs. My husband commented on day two to staff who advised that they often get complaints about the music and they can call the club to ask for it to be turned down. On the third night I was so tired and over it. We called reception to complain about the noise and were told someone would call us back. No one ever did. I’m not sure what would have been achieved by calling us back anyway. The music went all night. Request a room at the back of the hotel!!
Without the nightclub noise we would certainly stay again (and give it a 5/5).
