River Vineyard Retreat is who we booked with (Rosevears Estate as an entity is no more)
They were fantastic and the place was stunning.
As a tip, the recent reviews for the accomodation are showing up on tripadvisor under Rosevears Vineyard Retreat, but you will need to track down River Vineyard Retreat to book with them.
The cellar door is open and the vineyard is being run by Brown Bros, very picturesque.
Great spot for dinner at the waterfront tavern down the road.

We were very concerned when we approached the property as the external appearance of the property does not look like a nice place to stay in. After we got our keys for the-2 bedroom apartment, we were delighted when we unlock the apartment door. We were greeted by the beautiful view of the vineyard and glad that its a comfortable and spacious apartment. Most importantly there is a bathroom in each of the room which added much convenience.
There is a barbecue pit and we bought our food from the Coles supermarket about 25minutes drive away and had a nice bbq dinner.

We stayed here for New Years Eve and hired one of the two bedroom villas. The room was perfect - very spacious with little touches of luxury. It was a warm night so we had a BBQ on the deck looking over the Tamar river and drank delicious wine from the vineyard - I recommend the Pinot Gris! We saw wallabies right near us at dusk and the view over the property is just spectacular. The only negative is the fact the blinds were sheer and hardly blocked any light - waking up on New Years Day at 6am is not my idea of fun! Apart from that - a lovely experience, highly recommended!

This was a great place to stay. If you want something just out of Launceston (10 minute drive) then this is a great choice. It is on the wine trail which is the reason we stayed here. There are lots of wineries close by if you don’t want to drive the full circle.

The accommodation is new it looks like it has only opened recently. The unit we occupied had superb views of the Tamar River and the winery.

We had breakfast included and they deliver that each day and put it in your little bar fridge. There was no minibar so if you want snacks and drinks you will need to bring them with you.

There is floor to ceiling glass which allows you to sit on the lounge and enjoy the view. My only concern with this is it may get a little hot in summer because the blinds don’t really block out anything. We stayed in the middle of winter and the sun beamed in. There is air conditioning though.

The bathroom was great it had a huge bath which you could sit in and look out at the view. If your staying in winter like we did than you will be pleased to hear that they do have electric blankets on the beds.

I would certainly stay here again next time I am in Launceston. The staff are very friendly and the units offer great views and it’s good to be out of the city but still being close enough to drive to the top restaurants for a bite to eat.

On a recent trip to Tasmania, we spent three nights at Rosevears Estate, which is located in the tiny township of Rosevears, 17 km north of Launceston and at the beginning of the Tamar Valley Wine Route.

A$190 got us a one bedroom apartment (#11) with ceiling to floor windows overlooking a vineyard. Unfortunately, it also overlooked A7, so there was some road noise. The apartments are cantilevered and perched up on the hillside. The units are individually owned and vary a bit. Ours had a spacious bathroom with the biggest shower enclosure and deepest tub either of us had ever seen. It had a huge lounge, compact kitchen area, interesting lighting and a balcony. I’d classify this place as contemporary minimalist.

Each day a generous continental breakfast was left in our refrigerator – cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, milk, bread, butter and jam.

We were told when we checked in that we’d probably see a lot of millipedes (we did) and we were advised to read the information in our room regarding the spiders we might encounter on the property (Redback, White-tailed and Huntsman) and which of these would bite. Fortunately, we didn’t have any run-ins with spiders.

We were also warned about all the wildlife on the road behind our apartment and they weren’t kidding. We saw more animals driving from our apartment to the main road than we’d seen the entire trip. Bennetts wallabies and Tasmanian pademelons were out in force at dusk and we saw Tasmanian native hens just about everywhere.

We sampled the estate's wines in their tasting room, but were unable to try out their restaurant as it was closed for dinner during our stay.

I highly recommend Rosevears Estate to couples wanting a nice weekend getaway or to couples looking for an upscale place to stay on their travels within Tasmania.

The Tamar Ridge Winery Apartments are now known as Armalong Apartments and the apartments are wonderful. The views overlooking the Tamar River are absolutely stunning. The apartments are located 15 minutes from Launceston along the turnoff to Grindelwald. Big white gates direct you to the winery and the apartments. The apartments are spacious, very clean and very private. Our lovely host Helen had warmed the room before our arrival and the fridge was stocked with breakfast goodies. We had a little trouble finding cutlery, but it was inside the cupboard on tray, so there was everything we needed. There is a deck outside with a barbeque and a setting for two, which would be perfect in summer. The bed was a very comfortable king sized bed and the separate bathroom was amazing, there was a huge spa bath, which fitted both of us comfortably although not all the jets were working, and the shower was a big double shower as well, with water pressure to die for, much better than having a massage. We absolutely loved our stay at these wonderful apartments. I don't think you could get a better view in all of Launceston. We will certainly be back.

Picture perfect views over Tamar River, 15 minutes N of Launceston. Comfortable bed and room, excellent bathroom in very private setting. Easy to find location if one doesn't know the area. Room in need of minor TLC while complex waits for a new owner. Restaurant closed even though online material indicated otherwise. We arrived late in the day so having to drive for a meal was unexpected, nevertheless we found a great restaurant with the aid of both the onsite staff and a very friendly butcher in the new shopping centre in nearby Legano.

these are now part of the Quest group. Book direct with the Quest website for top internet rates. This is a fantastic place, the apartments are perched high in the trees overloking the vineyard and wetlands. There is a large living area, bedroom and bathroom with bath overlooking the vineyard, terrace / balcony with BBQ. Modern fit out, very clean. Well worth a stay.
Note - it is a bit in the middle of nowehere - don't go expecting disco's / bars / restaurants!

These apartments - now known as Armalong are fantastic. From the moment you open the door and see the view to a very comfortable sleep in the king size bed - it is great. Location superb with easy access to Launceston and the Tamar Valley. We did a few days wine tasting and it was superb. Would definitely recommend and book directly if you can.

The apartment was clean, modern and had everything you needed for a relaxing enjoyable stay. All the villas have balcony with a bbq as well as a kitchenette. The room had a very comfy king bed and you could even see the huge tv in the lounge room from the bed. The views from the dining, lounge, bathroom and verandah were glorious. Helen (the property manager) and her husband were very helpful arranging to pick up a load of washing and had it back that afternoon all clean and folded.
We only stayed 2 nights but it was by far the best accomodation we had in our 2 weeks in Tassie. Did I mention that it was clean! Even the shampoo etc were top quality and came in a full size rather than those nasty little bottles of toiletries found at most places.
High recommend these apartments as they are good value for money and set in beautiful tranquil surroundings and only 10 minutes drive to Launceston.
