Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed 10 days in this wonderful place. Unit spacious, warm and cozy. Our Unit had huge bath with outstanding view (take some bubblebath) - great bathroom and shower. Linen first rate, cleanliness exceptional and bed so comfortable. All cutlery and crockery you need even an electric bbq. The view from the Unit was magic over the vines and down to the river. Watching the changing vistas from the balcony a hilite to be enjoyed with a glass of wine. Felt like home within a day and so relaxing. Wait till you get to try the muffins. Cellar door just another bonus to the place - the Pinot Gris was wonderful. You wont be disappointed - we will return if we can.

A relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere on the Tamar river. The staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is fresh , plentiful and reasonable prices. The accommodation is located behind the hotel and on higher ground so you get to enjoy the views from your room or your own balcony. Negative side. For the ones that like mirrors in the main room, no, only in the bathroom BUT that may have only been the room I was in. This location would be great for family get togethers.

We stayed at one of these apartments for a couple of nights and we would highly recommend. After only a few hours you feel totally relaxed sitting on the deck with a glass of wine some nibbles and a fantastic view. We paid less here than some pretty shabby hotels we stayed in so it pays to look around. We went to the cellar door for a wine tasting and loved the wine and the staff were great. We would most definitely stay here again.

Such a nice surprise turning up here. Perched on a hill you have a beautiful view across the Tamar Valley and the rooms are perfectly designed for you to enjoy the view even from bed and the jacuzzi! There's a full kitchen and a small BBQ so we ended up going down the road to Neales Butcher and getting some amazing local meat and enjoyed it on the balcony with some local wine. Would happily stay here again. The Tamar Ridge winery is on site so you can easily do a tasting and enjoy a cheese platter. Note: Now known as Armalong Winery Chalets

We stayed for 3 nights. The view is outstanding! Cottages are very comfortable with cooking facilities, spa bath, big flat screen tv. Not too far from Launceston. Located within the Tamar Ridge winery, which has a very nice restaurant for Thursday night dinners. We recommend this accommodation. Price is very reasonable too.

These apartments - now known as Armalong are fantastic. From the moment you open the door and see the view to a very comfortable sleep in the king size bed - it is great. Location superb with easy access to Launceston and the Tamar Valley. We did a few days wine tasting and it was superb. Would definitely recommend and book directly if you can.

The apartment was clean, modern and had everything you needed for a relaxing enjoyable stay. All the villas have balcony with a bbq as well as a kitchenette. The room had a very comfy king bed and you could even see the huge tv in the lounge room from the bed. The views from the dining, lounge, bathroom and verandah were glorious. Helen (the property manager) and her husband were very helpful arranging to pick up a load of washing and had it back that afternoon all clean and folded. We only stayed 2 nights but it was by far the best accomodation we had in our 2 weeks in Tassie. Did I mention that it was clean! Even the shampoo etc were top quality and came in a full size rather than those nasty little bottles of toiletries found at most places. High recommend these apartments as they are good value for money and set in beautiful tranquil surroundings and only 10 minutes drive to Launceston.
