Fortunately we arrived early and took the opportunity to go for a walk to the Bridal and Champagne Falls and were not disappointed. The Retreat is located in a heavily wooded area with lots of ferns but no scenic views. The gravel road in had been recently repaired due to recent flooding and was in good shape. The rooms are... Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat is in the wilderness and a great retreat, good place to do walks in the area. The lodge is about 8km off the main road along a dirt road, but not much traffic, just drive carefully. The lodge consisted of a number of chalets raised above the forest floor with great views of the trees and native... More

We arrived fairly late (9pm) due to poor weather and we were starving. Unfortunately on checking in we were informed that the kitchen had closed and we were devastated. To their credit on enquiring with the kitchen staff they managed to put together a large platter of delicious cold meats, cheeses and various condiments plus a few cold beers to... More

We stayed in the Wilderness Chalet, and it is true to the word it is in the wilderness. Dead set middle of nowhere. The view from the balcony was nothing spectacular, was just trees right in front. The staff were not the best at checkin, seemed more concerned about their own conversation and felt like they were just going through... More

Well appointed lodges, almost luxury. Comfortable beds, large bedrooms and comfortable relaxing lounge area with efficient heating. Lodges set in "wilderness" but close to amenities. Good breakfast and the evening meals, although need to be booked, were excellent. Good choice of wines. Welcoming and efficient staff. Walks in vicinity of lodges through the woods. Pity we only had one night.... More

We stayed in the luxury spa suites for 3 nights and loved it, sitting in the spa overlooking the wilderness, being fed amazing meals (although different chef every night but still great) and just the isolation away from everything. The road in (8km gravel road) is fine as long as you stick to the speed limit and is well looked... More

We stayed here with our Aussie friends, a couple who are great wildlife enthusiasts and planned a superb trip around Tasmania this October using their knowledge from previous trips. They picked this resort because of the isolation, surrounded only by forest and wildlife, and the quality of the cabins, within easy reach of Cradle Mountain. The stay did not disappoint... More

After reading other reviews we were worried about the road in to Lemonthyme but it was fine. It took about 20 mins at about 30km/h and we were in a Corolla. No problems at all. Don't let the other reviews put you off. The drive is worth the effort. We stayed in a family cabin with 1 bedroom downstairs and... More

Absolutely gorgeous location. We stayed overnight in the Deluxe Spa Room and were not disappointed. The room was large and comfortable as was the bed. The spa in the bathroom was lovely as we looked out on to Tasmania's beautiful landscape. The staff were courteous enough to separate the guests from a rather large group consisting of several children so... More

My family and I decided to book a 2 night stay at Lemonthyme Lodge for a little escape. Our friends and family had raved about this destination for years and so we decided to try it for ourselves. Lemonthyme Lodge is indeed a beautiful place. It is extremely secluded and peaceful. The price you pay for the peace and seclusion... More
