My wife and I stayed in a spa suite in April as part of our Honeymoon. We could not speak highly enough of the level and quality of the service. Dinner each evening was an "event" with unparalleled table and sommelier service , that complemented the extraordinary food offerings. We loved the walking trails and the on site activities such as the camp fire canopies, but it was the tranquil nature of the lodge and surrounds that we loved the most. Our spa suite was beautifully appointment with fireplace and complimentary fully stocked mini bar that was replenished daily. We loved sitting on the day bed inside or outside on the verandah looking out towards the Plains and hills of the scenic rim. The room had a large bathroom with separate (spa) bath again looking out onto the immediate vista. A la carte breakfast and lunch is also included in daily rates which is great after feeling pekish after a long walk. The spicy chicken sandwich is a must and so is pre dinner drinks in the lounge right next to the majestic lodge fire place! While good service is no doubt warranted at any 5 star establishment and so is value for money, my wife and I were regardless so overly impressed with how we were treated during our stay. A special mention to Hayley and Stan in particular. Hayley did a fantastic job of checking us in and showing us around even though we checked in late and she was also having to serve restaurant patrons. It was so pleasant having her around during our stay each time we visited the restaurant. Stan was such a delight to talk too also. My wife and I were so impressed with the creativity in the drinks he served during our stay, he was so kind and generous! Finally Payden who made our dining experiences so memorable is a pure gem. His knowledge and sense of humor all first class, his service. flawless and with such a personable character made our stay truly one never to forget!

We were so sad to leave and can't wait to return one day with family and friends!

This review only gets 5 stars because we aren’t given the option to award more.
The property is absolutely breathtaking and incredibly well presented. We were fortunate enough to have booked the single cabin which is a luxurious cabin, big enough to house a small family, immaculately presented with every room, including one of the bathrooms taking advantage of the spectacular view down the valley. It was private and absolutely beautiful. It was so nice that we had booked a picnic to take at one of the lookouts but asked the staff to change the location back to our cabin.
The staff were all extremely nice, very professional and nothing was a problem for them at all. The food was a very high standard and very enjoyable. We ate and drank too much over our two days, but that is probably our fault.
This weekend away was a life experience for us. We will unquestionably be back again.

The moment you walk into Spicers, your car keys are handed over and you're guided to lunch. Afterwards you are shown to your room to find your bags already there, shoes laid out and champagne chilling on ice.
For someone who finds it hard to unwind, this place took the thinking out of the equation from every aspect. Staff are brilliant and really know how to cater to your every need. I thoroughly enjoyed this stay. We will defiantly return to Peak Lodge. Well worth it!

This is an absolute indulgent and luxury retreat! If you have a special occasion (or any reason) to celebrate, I definitely recommend Spicers Peak Lodge.

From the planning stages, to arrival and during your stay, nothing seems too difficult for the obliging staff who truly want you have an enjoyable and memorable visit. Special thanks to Bianca, Kitty, Rebecca, Sam, Halen and Martin.

The suites are exquisite and luxurious with comfortable beds and even a fireplace. I recommend getting a room on the ground floor with a balcony and a view - go on, you're worth the splurge!

There's a lot to do (or you can simply relax in the serenity) including guided or self-led walks around the property to take in the scenic rim and nature. We also had a lovely massage and facial at the Anise Spa at the lodge (thanks Linda and Stephanie!).

All in all, it was a memorable and amazing experience for our entire group and we'd love to come back soon!

Location : the hotel is located in a National Park, in the mountains. It's a 2 hours drive from Brisbane on a one lane road. There is a lots of trucks on the way which doesn't make the road so pleasant, but the landscapes are nice. The end of the road in the mountain is a bit rocky but it's not a hard drive.

Rooms : we stayed in the main building. The rooms are well done and spacious enough, with a sitting area by the fireplace and a terrace. The room faces the mountain. It has a fireplace and as we were there in winter it was really pleasant to have a drink in our room by the fireplace.

Food : innovative with local and fresh products. It was a set menu and we enjoyed all the courses. The dining room is a nice place. Breakfast on the terrace of the dining room was really enjoyable.

Wine & Drinks : they had great non alcoholic options, which is always pleasant! The choices of wines and drinks was good.

Activities : we only stayed one night so we didn’t got the chance to do much. We went for a long and beautiful walk around the property. We wanted to go to the pool but it was really cold (not heated). It seems that there is a center close to the

Staff : all the staff are well trained and professional.

Negative point : we had bathroom with no bath (which we were told) but it was actually a room for a wheelchair access so there was a lot of lost space (which we were not told). The room has a double door to go outside and during the night, air passes under the door so it was quite cold all night.

Wow, wow, wow!! From the moment we were greeted at the door by the GM, Martin on arrival our stay was just perfect!!

My wife and I have stayed at nearly all of Australia’s luxury lodges and Spicers Peak rates with the best of them.

The lodge itself is just beautiful, the architecture and attention to detail are first class.

The staff are all authentically friendly, engaged, attentive and make the experience one to remember. A special shout out to Carl, the Exec Chef who produced meal after meal worthy of the finest dining experience anywhere in the world. Also, Sam our sommelier who clearly has a great passion for wine and shares it with great enthusiasm.

It was abundantly clear that this is a team that love what they do, are very proud of their lodge and get along well with each other!!

The rooms are beautifully appointed and the little touches each day from housekeeping make it very special.

The views from the Lodge and the lookouts are world class.

We will be back. Thank you so much to the team for a wonderful 4 day get away!!

Getting to Peak Station is a bit of a journey and definitely not a drive suited to vehicles with lower suspension however the arrival is definitely worth it. The property is stunning and the rooms typically luxurious in keeping with all Spicers retreats. Every little touch is clearly carefully considered to add to the guest experience. The food and service was impeccable and the attention to my gluten free dietary needs was very much appreciated. The team are welcoming and very professional. The peace and quiet was blissful and despite the ravages of the recent bushfires to the surrounding landscape the property is stunning. This is a property I would highly recommend.

We joined some very long term and close friends just this week to celebrate an early 60th Birthday for one of the group It was our first time at Spicers Peak.

The whole experience was simply fantastic the accomodation , the magnificent meals and most importantly the amazing service and friendliness of the team at Spicers.

I have only recently fractured my ankle and I am getting around in a wheel chair I was given a room to specially cater for my needs and every assistance was given to me by the Spicers team to ensure I was looked after whether it be getting around or simply having drinks or a meal.

The whole experience was fantastic enhanced of courses by the beautiful weather which amplified the beautiful surrounding countryside .

No bigger endorsement can I give other than to say we are already planning dates for when we can return but for a couple of extra nights.

A big shout out to Martin and the 2 Steph’s ,Harry the dynamo and of course Payden ,Sam ,Dean the wonderful chef ,Bianca, Melissa a great star gazing experience

Bricks and mortar don’t make a great holiday experience people do and the above team provided it in bucket loads.

We look forward to returning soon

I surprised my partner with a weekend away and planned to propose to him during our stay. The team did an amazing job setting up an intimate picnic at one of their many lookouts with beanbags, cheese and wine, then we moved to a private setup around a campfire to watch the sun set. When we got back to the lodge we were treated to a private dinner outside with a campfire, making it an unforgettable day. All members of the team were friendly, knowledgeable, and worked so hard to make all aspects of our stay incredible. The facilities and grounds were beautiful and you can’t help but feel completely detached from the real world during your stay. We will definitely be recommending this place to all our friends.

The 12klm drive to the Lodge off the main road builds your anticipation for what lies ahead. Bianca phoned the day before to go over some points and suggested if we had the choice, we should drive a car that was not too low to the ground. This was very good advice and we were pleased we drove the SUV.
The helpful and friendly team made us feel very welcome immediately. Shortly after arrival we were sipping bubbles while relaxing in front of the open fire. Lunch and dinner were well thought-out and prepared meals. Interesting Aussie wines were offered throughout the stay although International options can be purchased. The grounds and views are stunning - like being on top of the world. And walking off your indulgences is easy with various hikes to choose. A memorable experience and we would certainly recommend.
