Great family fun, so relaxing and the staff are fantastic. My 4 year old loved the damper making, butter turning, horse riding, whip cracking, wagon riding and animal feeding. Great place great value great time. Thanks and we will see you again soon
The horse riding lessons are great. Bruce the main guy is heaps of fun and very experienced. He is very welcoming and offers a real farm like experience (interesting stories to tell) . Great spot for a chilled farmstay. Recommend camping by the creek. We ordered take away from the kitchen and the servings of hot chips were way too small and I was taken by surprise as it wasn't budget prices. The toilet and showers are not in a central area and it was a fair trek to get there. The surroundings were lovely and regardless of some negatives, we will definitely go back. Front desk team are lovely to deal with.
We had a great weekend away at Bestbrook with our school class. The kids had a ball and there were plenty of activities for all. A class favourite was CharlieBarley the talking/dancing cockatoo. I would thoroughly recommend this location for a trip away. We will be back.
Our children have grown up "city slickers" and I wanted them to have a little understanding of what a working farm looks and feels like. We participated in all activities, animal feeding, milking cows, boomerang throwing, whip cracking and horse riding. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights and my city slickers including a 15 yr old (who are hard to please) had a wonderful time and got a bit of an appreciation of what farm life is about. Our family had a great few days away and all of the staff were very helpful and genuine people.
For an established farm stay the facilities are run down and in need of updating. For an establishment that has been operating for sometime now port-a-loo’s were in disrepair with parts of the ceiling missing and in a putrid state. I would have thought a more permanent solution would have been organised. The shower block located near gap creek is so small that it doesn’t matter where you put your clothes everything is getting wet, there was only 4 showers to service at least 25 campsites, making them quite inadequate. The gas that supplied the hot water also ran out meaning many campers had cold showers..The map of the farm stay is quite inaccurate which made finding where to set up a challenging experience and we had to contact reception. On the upside the children enjoyed the horse riding however, this is an additional cost. The food in the restaurant is also another plus, delicious and large portions. Overall, great place to stop on a day trip but would not recommend staying there to camp as the facilities aren’t worth the price tag.…
