We came here and upon arrival, we were greeted with great, clean rooms and a garden/backyard with amazing mountain views. Free wifi is very fast. Even though I ably stayed for a night, it was very enjoyable and comfortable. Overall great stay.

This was beyond perfect for a quick getaway but we could have easily stayed longer. The surroundings were lush and green with fantastic amenities available for use. Fire pit was awesome, the giant chess set was a laugh and it was so peaceful. The room was comfortable with everything we needed including a fabulous welcome platter. Want to stay here again as soon as possible. Our host was just lovely and it was absolutely perfect.

This four bedroom tastefully renovated farmhouse with a pleasant rural outlook was an excellent venue for our "rellies retreat" - the annual get-together of four siblings and their partners. A modern kitchen with all appliances, a comfortable lounge, large rear deck cosy front verandah and two bathrooms offer lots of space for comfortable living. An easy five minutes walk takes you to Mapleton Falls with spectacular views over the Mary River Valley. A two minute drive in the opposite direction sees you in Mapleton village with cafes, specialty shops and the iconic Mapleton Hotel with its tasty "pub grub". The Sunshine Coast is a short drive away. Our hosts Jen and Diana were most obliging, We were greeted by roses in every room, candles, and even a gourmet platter of nibbles in the fridge! Overall, we could not imagine a better place to stay for a group like ours. It is also suitable for one or two families.

Two bedraggled wet campers emerged weary from a hike and were immediately in paradise here. Hot coffee, warm towels and a very kind reception by Diane, were followed by delight at the amenities and comforts in our spotless suite. Strongly recommended for its warmth, beauty, spacious gardens and proximity to pristine rain forests.

The rooms are lovely, airy and bright and beautifully clean. They have everything you need for the prefect stay. Lots of little extras like fresh coffee and milk and a lovely platter on arrival. Beautiful outdoor decks allow you to enjoy the scenic mountain views. It’s also a lovely peaceful location with the shops in Mapleton only a short drive away. The hosts go out of there way to make you feel welcome. Highly recommend this establishment.

We arrived at Mapleton Falls accommodation late in the afternoon on a Saturday to be greeted by a smiling owner. She promptly showed us around the place and then left us be. The apartment proved to be very roomy and super clean. There was a scented candle burning, fresh roses in a vase and a platter waiting for us in the fridge. What a delicious surprise! We spent the afternoon walking through the nearby rainforest. Due to the perfect position of the accommodation we were able to sit on the deck and marvel in the stunning sunset over the mountains. The beds were super comfortable and everything was cleaned beautifully. We would recommend this place to couples or families or even bigger groups if you want to book side by side apartments. Perfect and affordable. Thank you!

We had an extended stay at Mapleton Falls Accommodation over the xmas break and had a lovely time there. This is a long review so stick with me! The property is located in Mapleton, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Mapleton is about a ten minute drive out of Montville and about a half hour’s drive from Nambour if you’re coming from the train station. Coming by car you take the Blackall Range Scenic Drive, which is a beautiful one and there’s lots of picturesque scenery along the way out to the property. The place is easy to find and a stone’s throw from the main shops (about 3km down the road) if you need to pick up supplies or want to grab a coffee and a bite to eat (pro tip #1: don't go to Mapleton IGA as the place is extremely expensive - grab enough for your whole stay from the Nambour or Maleny supermarkets). When you get there, the property itself is very well-cared for and welcoming with lots of beautiful trees, flowers and forest all around. It has four separate rooms/units, with beautiful views of Mapleton Falls National Park from the balconies. The facilities here are perfect for a self-contained stay - air-conditioning and fans, full kitchen with fridge, stovetop (with oven) and all kitchen utensils and appliances, washing machine and dryer and covered garage for the car (we got a couple of storms during our stay so this was handy). There’s a welcome platter in the rooms when you arrive as well as tea, coffee and a bottle of local milk to get you started. There’s also lots of other small touches that we really appreciated, especially the fresh roses placed in the room and the small Christmas gift of chocolates. The owner goes to a lot of trouble to ensure you feel welcome, and you find you settle in very quickly because of the homely feel - the sounds of bird life and the smell of the rainforest is really relaxing! (There's free wi-fi as well, but the views are better than anything you'll get on the internet.) The location was excellent as a base for exploring the region - as we discovered. If you’re in the area for a bit of outdoor adventure/hiking/nature seeking, the Mapleton Falls National Park is literally on the doorstep of this place - about two minutes from the entrance as it turned out, which was brilliant. It made going to the lookout, having a picnic or going for one of the scenic walks so convenient… no need to even bring the car, we just walked there. (Pro tip #2 - the park gets quite popular late in the morning and at lunchtime, so if you want a scenic walk in cooler weather and with less people around definitely go early in the morning.) Kondalilla Falls National Park - larger rainforest and with a rock pool - is about 7km drive away as well, with Montville about 10km away for great cafes, food and artisan shopping, Kenilworth about 21km and Maleny about 25km drive away. I thoroughly recommend the scenic drive from Mapleton to Kenilworth (pro tip #3 - take care going out to Kenilworth; the road down the mountain for the first 3km or so is unsealed but is sealed going back up), which is very picturesque and green, as well as Montville for great food and views. There's lots to see and do in the area and it was very convenient not having to travel too far from the accommodation to see so much of it. Because of the amenities, views and location, we found the accommodation a definite winner and for me represents some of the best value accommodation in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, especially compared to the prices of some of the other B&Bs and self-contained cottages dotted around. However, the one aspect that prevents me from giving this property a perfect score was the presence of noisy children during our stay. Mapleton Falls is a place people go for peace, quiet and relaxation - in the case of our stay, we were frequently disturbed by children (under the age of 6) who were in and out of their room as early as 6:00am, running around the property and up and down the stairs early in the morning screaming and slamming their sliding door repeatedly (making a constant banging noise that reverberated through our room). I was so relieved when they left, as we got serenity at last! Having young children at the accommodation was something which really surprised me because it isn’t the type of place that caters for children (and there’s no facilities at the property to cater for them, such as a pool and playground equipment, so there’s really nothing for them to do on the property) - I specifically booked it thinking there was a slim chance of any children being present. Having those kids there did stress me out a bit the first few days, because they made so much noise and the parents let them run amok. In my view, this accommodation is not suitable for children and my recommendation would be that in the future the owners market it as adults only (or at least a restriction on guests under the age of 12) so that guests are guaranteed a peaceful stay. At an absolute minimum, I would recommend guests with children be reminded of the need to respect the peace and quiet of those sharing the accommodation with them because of the close proximity of rooms, but in my honest opinion children really shouldn’t be there at all. Hopefully in the future it becomes adults only. The other aspect is that parking is not great. Large vehicles (including a huge passenger van, belonging to the family with the unruly children) parked sideways outside partially blocked the elevated driveway each day, which required us to twist and turn our car out in reverse with great difficulty - we had a couple of hair-raising near misses trying to manoeuvre our vehicle out of a very awkward space. Not a huge thing, but it added a bit of unnecessary stress. All in all I enjoyed our stay and I would be happy to stay at Mapleton Falls Accommodation again, provided no young children were on the property. If you are considering it my recommendation would be to check before booking to see if young kids are due to be there on your dates. If there isn’t any scheduled to be there, I wouldn’t think twice about booking as it’s well worth it.

Hello room_downstairs, Thankyou so much for your kind review, we are so pleased you had an enjoyable visit here at Mapleton Falls and the surrounds, such a beautiful location and view. We often have children here, they love the giant chess set, cubby house and large grassy area for kicking a ball around. This property is well suited for groups as they can book the entire property for their sole use, we often get bridesmaids, wedding parties, walking groups or families particularly during the school holidays. We do also get plenty of travellers or couples looking specifically for a quiet space and we can accommodate that most of the time but definitely best to check with us prior to booking if that's a requirement. Many thanks for your feedback, we will add a new procedure to our check in process to ensure parents of young kids be mindful of noise particularly early in the morning as we all love to have a good sleep in (likely the parents do too). :) We would love to have you visit us again to give us the opportunity make your next stay even better. I hope you had a wonderful Xmas and New Years break. Kind Regards, Jenn.
