This is your average country town motel. Rooms were clean and tidy. We only stayed a night and the bed was really comfy. We slept well. The location and the fact that its within walking distance of the central part of town is really nice.
On a Queensland road trip, we had a stay in Childers for one night. This motel was in such a convenient location, being just behind the main street, with pedestrian access down a laneway next to a Subway restaurant and the Palace Hotel. Car parking was conveniently available at the rear. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The pool was a welcome facility, great for unwinding at the end of a long day's driving. With the main street and its shops, cafes, takeaways, bakeries and pubs accessible via the laneway, our dining options were straightforward. A great place to stay when in Childers, and we look forward to staying here again in the future.
Room was basic. Bed comfort not so great because you can hear the springs crunching. Bathroom is small with no where to put your toiletries, shower has plenty of water and good pressure. Room has air conditioning, tea and coffee, tv, microwave and fridge. Free parking but the door into the motel was not locked, so security wise not very good. Wonderful warm welcome by the owners, who went out of their way to assist with bathroom light not working, replaced the globe and a small problem with the tv. Good location through the front entrance to the main street.
Very convenient location——close to shops and amenities; away from traffic and very quiet. Nice and tidy rooms with tea coffee making gear, and microwave. Beautiful swimming pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Totally enjoyed our stay. We have stayed at Childers a few times; and we reckon Oasis Motel is the best.
We stayed here on our way from Brisbane to Yeppoon - we checked on Xmas eve and woke up there Xmas day with our little family so it was a fun adventure for our small kids to have Xmas day in a motel. The room was tidy and the hosts friendly - they even popped by our room on Xmas day just before we left to give us some Xmas cookies which I thought was sweet. Only downside was the communal kitchen was in need of a huge clean - super dusty and dirty. It was handy though having all cooking equipment available so we could still do bacon and egg breaky on Xmas morning before we continued our travels to Yeppoon.
