The cabin was neat and clean nestled in the treetops. Quiet other than the birds and wind rustling the leaves. It was the perfect weekend stay for us, the hot tub was clean and easy to use. The kitchen was stocked with all the appliances we needed and the check in and out process was smooth and easy. The owners were a pleasure to deal with when making the booking. Definitely have recommended staying here to our friends and family and we are looking forward to going back again soon.

We stumbled upon this idyllic location by chance, my Husband first sighted the ad whist looking for somewhere to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The attraction was immediate when the secluded location within an 1 hour from home appealed to him, the best part was no children, no animals. The spa was our go to after trekking the many beautiful walks and rainforests. the area is abundant with wildlife which was perfect for us, as nature lovers and keen photographers. On arrival we were greeted with a beautiful well equipped cabin, we chose the Tallorook but all the cabins are worth it. I highly recommend the Cabins in the clouds for anyone wanting quiet. Bernadette & Sean were the most hospitable hosts , they even supply a breakfast basket and nibbles if required at a very reasonable price. All we had to do was relax and take in the clean fresh air and surroundings. We are planning our next return perhaps winter were we can use the log burning fireplace.

A cabin in the clouds with breathtaking views. When you need serenity, visit cabins in the clouds - it has everything you need! The cabin is beautiful, nice and cozy. The pool and spa are relaxing, walking amongst the wildlife is amazing and watching eagles soar just at eye level is super amazing. They organised a wine tour for us and it was well worth the money - not having to worry about driving and enjoying a variety of hunter wineries, distilleries and cheese and choc factory. It has sustainable features - they have ditched SUP (single use plastic) and the place uses rain water. Loved every moment we were there and wish to go back again, this time in the winter so I can stay in the spa all day :)

Hi George & Sandy, Thanks for staying with us in Kirawa Spa Cabin and glad you enjoyed all the goodies in the Romance Retreat package - all put together with produce from our local suppliers with love + good vibes 😊 Thanks for alerting us to the Kookaburra behaviours, it's not the first time we've heard this 🙄 We are at the point of an intervention with them! They are so brazen, and you really shouldn't have to be on BBQ watch the entire time you're cooking right? Next time you visit, I'll replace your steak with one from our local butcher - "Putting notes in your reservation now...." Thanks for taking the time to write about your stay, we really appreciate it and keeps us motivated to continue working hard 👍🏼 Kind Regards, Bernadette & Sean

What an amazing hidden gem! We celebrated our 20 year Anniversary in the Peta Spa cabin and it was so relaxing! The views are breath taking and you are surrounded by complete nature…birds, butterflies, and at night you could hear the frogs croaking. The weather was coolish and drizzly but perfect for relaxing in the spa with a glass of wine and taking in the views. We opted to have massages in the room by Chloe and she was amazing! We picked up some wine from Tamburlaine winery, then pizzas from the Vacy General store, as well grabbing some groceries to cook breakfast in the morning and have cheese to enjoy some afternoon nibbles, and we had everything we needed. It was so nice to not have to drive around, but to just stay and enjoy. The cabin had all the essentials like salt and pepper, cooking oil, cold water waiting in the fridge, etc, plus having an oven and a microwave made it easy to reheat left overs or cook fresh. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back! Thank you Cabin in the Clouds!!!

Hi Kristy, Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed description of your recent stay - you have outlined all the little things that make a getaway so special! And to know that you just embraced the weather that was presented is exactly what we would have done 👌🏼👌🏼 All those wildlife sounds without any background noise is so relaxing, though right now it's Cicada season so quite noisy! We don't mind the sound of them 🪰 We are incredibly lucky to have partnered with a few of the most amazing therapists in the Hunter Valley, that very much enjoy a little drive up the hill to pamper our guests. They all comment on the 'chill vibe' when they arrive at a cabin, and even though it's work for them, they get so much out of it too. Chloe will be so thrilled you have mentioned her by name in here, so thank you. Looking forward to having you stay another time 😊 Kind Regards, Bernadette & Sean

We stayed at Jabiru cabin for our 2nd anniversary. From the moment you start the drive up the mountain you know you’re in for something special. The drive up is a little windy with lots of potholes but don’t let that deter you. From the second you step foot inside this cabin and see the views out the back you are mesmerised. We unpacked the car and then jumped in the spa and took in sunset. The clear skies where there is no city pollution have to be seen to be believed. We set our alarm for 5.30am the next morning so that we could take in sunrise from the spa and Mother Nature did not disappoint! The views from the back deck were nothing short of spectacular. There are things to do nearby, waking tracks and towns within half hour drive to explore however spending the entire time at the cabin wouldn’t be difficult. It’s so easy to relax and just sit in the spa and take in the views. There is a tennis court, two very friendly sheep and the kelpies were friendly welcome guests with their ball. If you are looking for a romantic getaway you won’t be disappointed.

Hey Shannon! Happy Anniversary! Thanks for posting such a great description of your stay in Jabiru! Funny you mention the windy drive up the mountain - I remember my first drive up here, saying to Sean "There is no possible way we're buying this property as I am NOT doing that drive regularly!" 8 years later, here we are 😅 It can be a daunting drive but if you take it slow and enjoy the scenery it's worth the effort on arrival. I'm so glad you made the effort to get up for a sunrise spa. It is hands down the best time of day on our side of the mountain, watching the sun emerge from the edge of the escarpment is truly breathtaking & when I hear that guests have done that, I do a little happy clap for them! Star gazing at night is also must do, as you've mentioned the lack of pollution up here those night skies are spectacular - we often call ourselves 'Spa's in the Stars" We look forward to having you back some time 😊 Kind Regards, Bernadette & Sean

I booked a weekend away as a birthday treat for my husband. We booked the Peta Spa cabin, with a breakfast hamper and massages for both of us.
The cabin was beautifully appointed and very well equipped (and the rose petals on the bed were a nice touch!). The view is stunning, particularly from the spa (although note that the shot of the couple in the infinity spa is actually taken at dawn, not dusk - I'm afraid I didn't get up that early, ha ha). But we spent many happy hours in that spa later in the day, and watching the eagles soar up from the valley below is really something.
The attention to detail was really appreciated, I had asked (at the last minute) for a few extras to be organised, like a bottle of champagne and a birthday cake which was happily accomodated. The champagne was chilling in an ice bucket upon our arrival which was a thoughtful and well-timed touch! The massage was really nice too.
The quality and quantity of the breakfast hamper was great and fed us more than adequately for our entire stay. And some fun ball throwing was had with some of the local wildlife!
Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again soon.

Such a great description of all the things & we really enjoyed doing the little extra's for you - being so lovely to deal with makes our jobs very easy 👍🏼 Calling Chilli & Sylvie 'wildlife' is very appropriate, as they are little crazies, that's for sure! They love connecting with people and always get a little sad when guests drive away 🐾 We look forward to having you guys stay again. Kind Regards, Bernadette & Sean

We had an absolute ball 😀 🌳 🦜 Our Cabin was amazing and had everything we needed. The bed was cozy and the view was spectacular. We spent most of our time relaxing in the spa, sitting on the deck or curled up on the lounge beside the wood fire. The Breakfast Hamper was a real treat. We enjoyed a fun hike to the nearby Lagoon, met the sheep and played Tennis 🎾 The dogs were friendly and very well behaved 🐕 We completely relaxed and enjoyed the Serenity 🕊️ Thank you 🙏 We will be back 👍

We have been going to cabins for many years now. The cabin has everything you need for cooking though we always take our favorite sauces and condiments. There are fridges so you can load up all your food and refreshments/ They have a tv if you want to watch and a DVD player. BBQ too on your veranda, we find the outdoors with the birds and wildlife entertaining enough, there is also board games, though we take our favorites away. the outdoor spa is amazing also a fireplace. There is a pool and tennis courts. You can do a lot or just sit back and relax. Bushwalking trails are close by too. Bernadette is happy to help with all requests if possible. We just love the tranquility. see you next year.
