We travelled as an extended family group of 8 and stayed in the 4 bedroom cottage Brumby's run. Brumby's run had ample space for all 8 people - it was bigger than we expected. Bedrooms: Very large and spacious. Each room has a king size bed, or can be made into 2 king singles. There was also a port a cot we noticed that can be used. Each rooom has its own ensuite. One of the ensuites has a bath, and another is set up as an accessable toilet and show for the less abled. Living area: There are basically 4 seperate living areas. A large dining area that can easily seat 12, and is right next to the kitchen. A seating area beside a large double sided fireplace. On the other side of the fireplace is a large lounge area - great for an afternoonn snooze beside the fireplace. Then there is a seperate TV lounge area. Outdoor seating: Outdoors there is a large table that would seat 14 easily. A swing sunlounge for 1 person as well as a good size BBQ. Kitchen: Fully stocked with Microwave, oven, stove, fridge/freezer and all the crockery and anciliary items you would ever need. The Kitchen is a bit small compared to the rest of the building, so don't try to fit people in there all at once. Laundry: The laundry room as both full sized washer and dryer and another freidge/freezer All beedrooms are air conditioned, but main living area has ceiling fans only. Even though we stayed in Summer, just opening the very large floor to ceiling sliding doors created a cooling cross breeze, and with the ceiling fans it was comfortable and we were not in need of air con in the main area. Make sure you bring wild bird seed, Rabbit pellets, Apple, and raw strips of meat for the wildlife. There are 2 feeding areas at each end of the outside deck. There are plenty of native birds that will eat the seed. Just as it becomes night, add the Apple to the feed areas and wtch the possums come for a feed of the fruit and seed. The Kookaburras love the raw meat, and they arrive throughout the day. With a good aim, you can through some in the air near them and they will catch it. On dusk are in the morning, there are plenty of Roo's and Wallaby's in an open grassed area right below the deck - the pellets will help attract them, but they will feed of the grass anyway. If you want to swim in the pool, it is a 1-2 minute drive away at a shared area, but Banjo's has their own rec room with Spa, Tennis court, Pool Table and table Tennis table. All equipment is provided. As it is remote from any township (Vacy is about 20 minutes drive), just bring your food and drinks and enjoy what the Australian bush has to offer. We will be back

You love your extended family and the idea of going away for days "together " is great in theory. Well Banjos Bush Retreat brings this into reality. We booked the three lodges and used the larger Brumbies as the meeting and feasting hub. Each family group had their own Retreat to withdraw to when the food comas hit. The teenagers were independently entertained by all the recreational options. Us Mums relaxed in spa and sauna. We'd all retract back to Brumbies refreshed for another communial meal and games on the expansive deck overlooking the mountain vista. Uncle Bas was in heaven with Foxtel remote in hand and spotify crooned over the Bluetooth when the vibe switched from nature to nirvana Sunsets were accompanied by the local possum residents and daily visits by Keith the Kookaburra or is it Kim? Enjoyed a few bush walks and slept well on the super comfortable beds complete with aircon and luxury white robes. Everything is thought of..it is a Gift to have all your loved ones seated at the one table with elbow room and a platter for every dish. Thank God for the dishwasher and two fridges. Spacious and clean, open and embracing. If you're looking for a place for large group or a stand alone lodge for yourselves that has everything to bring the family together..including Ensuits..Banjos Bush Retreat is highly recommended. It's a hidden gem in the hills accessible by any vehicle, Follow their directions..take all your food, everything else is thought of for you.

Thank you Heidy for your absolutely wonderful review of your stay at Banjos in mid-December last year. Sounds like you all enjoyed all that Banjos has to offer, and obviously were really taken with our visiting wildlife! Banjos works really well for groups all coming together, and particularly in our largest lodge, Brumby's Run which is extremely well equipped for even the largest group! Space is a luxury, and we have plenty of that at Banjos! We look forward to having you back again this year.

Our family of 12 adults and 8 children have just returned from another wonderful weekend at Banjos. This was our 5th time at Banjos. Having both Clancy's and Brumby's Run enabled us to have all the young families in the central house while those without young children stayed in the calm of Clancy's. As always the standard of accommodation and facilities was exceptional and enabled us to all be together for meals and socialising while the recreation facilities enabled us to relax and have some fun. Jenny provided us all the information we needed and rang when we were there to make sure we had everything we needed. Our family had a great time at Banjos and we highly recommend it to other families.

We've just returned from our second stay at Banjos Retreat. Once again, it didn't disappoint. Jenny is a wonderful host - and was very responsive to all our requests. Not only does the house accommodate for all your needs (including toiletries, kitchen supplies etc), it is IDEAL for several families. Each bedroom has its own ensuite, ensuring privacy and space whilst still be able to stay in the same venue. The clubhouse with tennis court, spa, sauna, pool table and kids playground catered for the various age groups in our combined families. A big bonus is the earlier check in (12.30) and late check out (4.30pm). This is rarely offered by properties and meant we could enjoy our Sunday without having to get up early to pack AND we avoided the traffic heading home to Sydney, It essentially gave us another day at Banjos! A great and generous initiative. If you're looking for a quiet getaway amongst the gum trees, kangaroos and abundant wildlife.........this is the place to stay!

Thank you Sue for your lovely review of your stay at Banjos last weekend. It was a pleasure to welcome you back again, and also bring some family members that had not been to Banjos before! We try to be a little different by giving more generous check-in and check-out times which can make a huge difference to a short 2 night stay! We hope you and your family will return again soon!
