We had a wonderful visit at the Mayhurst. We stayed in the Southern Comfort Room and loved the cozyiness and style. The jacuzzi tub was fabulous. The entire Inn abounds with beautiful furnishings and good taste. The baked apples and eggs benedict for breakfast were delicious. Don't miss the wine and cheese in the library in the evening. The Virginia...

This was our third time at the Mayhurst Inn, our go-to place for lovely relaxation. The Inn itself is gorgeous, the grounds lovely, and the hospitality of the innkeepers is both warm and efficient. This time, we took advantage of the innkeepers' suggestion to book a ride on a hot-air balloon. They take care of all the details, and we...

This was our fourth visit with Pat and Jack North. From our very first visit they have treated us like family. Every time we return, we are welcomed with open arms. The ladies pick-up where they left-off talking about grandchildren, etc.. Jack and I usually go off to do "guy things" about the Inn or in its Gardens. The Mayhurst...

We have wanted to come to Mayhurst Inn for several years but you know how time gets away, even though we had sent friends and family here. Finally we got reservations, and came with friends who had already spent weekends here; this was the perfect place to celebrate my husband's 65th birthday. Mayhurst Inn is a large beautiful historic home;...

The Mayhurst Inn is an incredible experience. The innkeepers wonderful, the rooms beautiful and romantic, the grounds and porches soothing and the dining is delicious. We are already going to book for our return trip next year. We highly recommend Mayhurst Inn

Pat & Jack have created a relaxed, welcoming environment that makes you feel comfortable from the moment you check-in. The accommodations are first rate, the house is spectacular and the breakfasts are expertly prepared. We stayed for three nights and our only wish was to have been able to stay longer. If you want to get away, unwind, see some...

You must go to this place, you will not be disappointed! We travel all over the world and this was one of the most relaxing places, with wonderful service we have experienced. The romance package was a great value. Jack and Pat make you feel so welcome, but they have the perfect combination of being there when you need something...

We can not say enough about the Inn, Jack ,and Pat. They help you with anything that you ask for or need. They give you explicit directions with maps, make reservations, and help you plan your day. The Inn is loaded with history, and it is a joy to hear Jack and Pat tell you about it during their evening...

My wife and I stayed in the Italian Suite for two nights as part of the Virginia Wine Country Package. The Inn and surrounding property is gorgeous. My only criticism of the Mayhurst is that maintenance items could be tidied up a bit. For example, right outside the front door of the Mayhurst was a big bag of ice melt...

Montpelier and Monticello may get the most attention but this gorgeous 1859 home is absolutely stunning. There are few houses out there that I look at and think, "I would want to own that," as though it were a painting, sculpture, piece of art . . . Jack and Pat, the owners are wonderful, down-to-earth innkeepers and they know a...
