We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful spot in the forest. The house was comfortable and tastefully furnished with a great deck looking into the trees. Chris and Carol were welcoming and helpful. We'd thoroughly recommend a stay.

From the moment we arrived we knew this place was for us. We were greeted by our lovely host who made it clear that he was there if we needed anything. We were then left in complete privacy which was lovely and exactly what we were after. The cottage its superb and really feels like you are one with nature. We loved the outdoor kitchen and outside campfire. The welcome cheese platter and local produce and wine was a lovely gesture. My husband enjoyed the many bike riding tracks, whilst we both enjoyed the bush walking. I really cannot recommend this lovely getaway enough , especially if like us you are a couple getting away from being parents for awhile and spending quality time together....this is the place. Luxury without the crowds, traffic, fumes.....truly paradise on earth. Cannot wait to get back there thats for sure :)…
We loved the idea of going to an 'eco' lodge, but it was not clear in the 'brochure' or descriptions exactly what that entailed BEFORE we booked. Truly pristine rainforest location, complete with Lyrebirds, and the house itself is built with all the loving care of the very friendly and hospitable owner, who is truly an artisan when it comes to woodwork. The whole house is full of his loving touches; the amazing staircase, furniture, artifacts .. marvellous work. Two particulars were a disappointment to us, which may not disappoint everyone. In contrast to the luxurious bedrooms, bathrooms and accompaniments, we were surprised on arrival to discover the 'eco' kitchen meant a sink, small fridge and gas burners on the back verandah. There was an old 50's style metal mesh cupboard so that the possums, etc. could not reach any foods that were stored within. It was lovely sitting out on the verandah, but we soon realised that any kitchen activities needed to be completed before the mozzies moved in, otherwise it was a battle to protect yourself. We did, however, adjust to this restriction. The other issue, which we would have like to know about in advance, was the allowable amount of power we could use. Being night owls, we were enjoying late night movies when all the electric power suddenly ceased! It was pitch black in the middle of the rainforest and it took quite a bit of scratching around to locate some matches and the romantic candle I usually have in my travel bag. We did of course understand the point, and adjusted to this restriction too for the rest of the holiday, but would have liked a warning beforehand. Strangely, for a remote location, where you would expect enduring silence, we twice heard the sounds of trail bikes not so far away. Nevertheless, it did not deter the lyrebirds, possums, beautiful bird life and wallabies. Really lovely location, just needs a little more clarity in the description prior to the payment in advance.…
A fantastic, remote cottage with all the facilites for a luxurious stay. 15 minutes from both Tilba and Narooma (dirt track road) brings you to this self contained cottage. Sleeps 6, but perfect for couples too. Kitchen and BBQ on the vernadah overlooking the bush. So peaceful it feels like its only you and the birds ! Great place to explore the south coast, and the gorgeous village of Central Tilba - with its Cheese shop and Winery. Try toasting marshmellows on your own camp fire!
