Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

On arrival met by Damian and shown our room or should we say rooms. We stayed in the Earl Beauchamp suite where your front door opens to a dinning area with basic kitchen supplies to make tea, coffee, and toast with a microwave also provided. To the left is an amazing lounge with inglenook fireplace hoping to return in winter to take advantage of that fireplace. To the right of the dining area are a further two rooms a large bedroom with king size bed and then the piece de resistance the largest claw foot tub we have seen and for those who prefer the shower is also a very good size. Hillview Heritage is a b&b self catering set up and for our weekend escape couldn’t have been a better location. Set on the hill well away from the highway the peace and quiet was exactly what we

Hidden away, quiet and secluded sums up this hotel. Its rustic in some respects, but totally adorable, full of antiques and charm with tremendously large rooms. We were completely left alone, which might not suit all, but most definitely suited us. Orange juice, bread, cereal, milk & coffee in the fridge, electric blanket warming the bed, full of cosy charm. We wouldn't think twice about staying again. Fantastic.

A friend and I have just spent a wonderful weekend at Hillview, I have wanted to visit for many years and have now finally made it and I was not disappointed in any way. Our host (Damien) was on hand to warmly greet us and show us our beautiful suite - Earl Beauchamp. It was huge with a lounge with an open fireplace and stunning views, next was a dining room followed by a huge bedroom and then the en-suite bathroom. We were made very comfortable and spent many hours exploring the beautiful former Vice-Regal house and the stunning grounds and beautify gardens. After 2 nights, it was sad to leave - but advised Damien that we will be back for another stay to see the gardens in full bloom. Hillview is a wonderful private estate that you can book all rooms for a private function

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend and loved it. It was quiet and peaceful nestled in between farmland views. The hosts were friendly and the cottage itself was clean and inviting. Fireplace in the living room and a bath in the bedroom is always a good experience. Will definitely return soon. Overall a great escape from the busy city life.

I have stayed at Hillview for two nights over the weekend and really enjoyed my stay there. The property is beautifully located in a really quiet and peaceful environment, surrounded by nature but is still really close from Moss Vale (5 minutes drive) where you can find all kinds of amenities. Although the cottage was rustic and had no proper kitchen (no stove or oven), we had access to a microwave, a fridge and some plates/cutlery which was really convenient for breakfast and for take away food. The cottage was one of a kind, spacious, warm and welcoming, and decorated with some old pieces of furniture which really added to the charm of the place. We also really enjoyed the fireplace, a great option for those cold winter nights. The bed too, was extremely comfortable and

Had a night here on our way through Bowral and loved it. Really relaxed vibe from the hosts and the room exceeded our expectations. Nothing like a winter evening spent infront of a warm fire and or in the antique bath!

What a fantastic place to stay. We just spent two enjoyable nights at the Hillview Heritage Hotel in Sutton Forest. Staying in the Earl Beauchamp cottage which was beautifully restored. It was a very large cottage comprising of four rooms, lounge(with open fire place), dining, bedroom and bathroom with a huge claw foot bath. The Hotel has huge grounds to wander which includes a number of contemporary sculptures to look at.

The two cottages we stayed in were very spacious with beautiful historic features. The gardens and views were breathtaking. Damien was a very accomodating host with a fabulous knowledge of the property's history. Just a bit tricky to find the entrance at night in the dark. Overall a unique and wonderful experience, which we will endeavour to do again!
