We cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. Great accommodation and location (a fabulous tavern very close by) but it was the service we were given by their receptionist Smita, which impressed us the most. We stayed there over the long weekend in early October. Our prebooked confirmed accommodation in Wyong was suddenly not available and we were in danger of spending the night in our car. We made numerous frantic phone calls. A last minute cancellation was offered to us. After driving from Wyong we were very stressed and eternally grateful for the service we were given. Smita took care of us so well, not just doing her job professionally, but doing it in such a kind and compassionate way! A huge thanks to you!!

Recently renovated accom that was neat and clean. Staff were friendly and bed was comfortable. Shower was great. What ruined the stay was the smell of cigarette smoke in the room. Very strong in the morning. Wouldn’t stay again for this reason.

We were greeted by the friendly staff and check in was quick. The room is renovated and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room warm in the middle of winter. The location was great with the Log Cabin very close and great option for dinner. Would definitely stay again if we need to visit Penrith.

Truly terrible experience. Staff member on reception was judgemental, hasty, rude and unprofessional. Was charged a $125 cleaning fee for a spilt drink without even being approached about the incident. When we went downstairs to address it with the staff member we were told we were lucky not to be thrown out of the hotel as that's what he considered doing and that if we made any noise or other wrong moves we would be kicked out. The whole weekend which was suppose to be a celebration for my friends was ruined as we felt intimidated by his threat for eviction and afraid to lose any more money. Would not recommend staying here

Pleasantly surprised by this motel. It's not all brand new, but it's very clean and well maintained, with caring management. Many of the furnishings and decorations are new even if the building isn't. Pool and bbq would be nice if you need it. Overall excellent value.

We were booked to stay here for two nights and checked out after the first due to aggressive staff and the fact that we had booked a room for 4 and were given one accommodating only 3. Staff argued the point, but we checked with booking.com and we had definitely requested a room for 4. The 11 year old had to sleep on the floor. It was comfortable enough for the rest of us, but definitely time for new management.

I was very optimistic of this place, and indeed spent a very comfortable afternoon in air conditioning with high speed internet for work. The place is a stone's throw from a multitude of dining options, and the river, and it has a swimming pool. However there was a lot of construction noise from next door, and I never would have booked if I'd known that. It's not on the website. When I peeled back the sheets, housekeeping had left the bottom 30cm of the bed completely un-sheeted under the doona. No under protector or anything, so just my own feet on rough mattress. Awful. The bed was also pretty uncomfortable (hard) and would benefit from a topper. Someone else's dirty socks were in the safe. I was willing to overlook the tradie who came into my room while I was in there. Happy I had the chain on, and it was an honest mistake. All in all I think 3 stars is a bit of a generous review, but I am appreciative of what it's like to be in small business and have external factors affect your product. A general workshop with the staff would bring it up to scratch in no time. …

A very good location. It is close to the Nepean River. Came to rowing with my friends and stay one night at Select Inn. The room looks very new and it is very big and comfortable. Our room also has a nice garden view. Had a good night there.

Good location, the room is very spacious and clean, the manager is very helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed, there is great walk along the river next to the motel, and very closed to shopping centre, will come back again.

I will never stay at Penrith Valley Inn again as we were booked to stay (have stayed several times before) for a sporting event which was unfortunately cancelled on the Thursday afternoon by the Penrith Council. We were due to arrive on the Friday night. Many other accommodation places within Penrith gave a refund as they were understanding that the cancellation was not the fault of the customer. This place would rather take the money for one nights accomodation and lose customers rather than refund and keep customers returning. So if your heading to Penrith stay well away from Penrith Valley Inn - all they want is your money - not good customer care
