Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had an absolutely amazing time over the weekend with my wife and 15 mth old son. We stayed there for 2 night and roamed around a lot of the day playing and feeding many of the animals. It was great to be able to go into the alpaca enclosure and feed them all, more so it was a surprise to see how many different anils were there and how many baby animals were around as well. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend to any family. The location is just up the road from a few wineries as well which were great to go and check out for lunch hand some tastings.

Our first baby free weekend away had us booked in at Starline Alpacas into the stockyard suites. We were so happy with the room - comfy bed & double shower. Beautiful views out onto the stockyards, morning visits from the alpaca’s & were impressed the setup and layout of the farm. It’s perfect for couples or families with quite a bit to do. The alpaca’s were all very friendly. Close to wineries & attractions. The owners were also lovely!

We booked the 4 x Waterview Cottages which were ideally located close enough but not too close together for the 17 members of our family to stay for the nearby wedding of our son. The cottages are perfect for these sorts of family events because each room has its own ensuite and air conditioning. The beds are so big and comfortable. The kitchens are well equipped and the lounge and deck areas are ample. However, the best thing about the whole place is not the Alpacas!? The best thing about Starline Alpacas Farmstay is the incredibly helpful staff. They were so friendly and welcoming and could not have done more for us while we were there for 4 days. They even allowed us to use the function room fridges as we had so much food and drink with us! And to top it off they even gave us a 10% discount when we checked out. I would rate these staff 11 out of 10! Highly highly recommend it!

Enjoyed a wonderful stay in a mountain view cottage with my parents and child. The cottage was new and modern and spotlessly clean with lovely views of the paddocks, and located very close to the pool and other facilities. We stayed mid week in mid Dec and did not run into many other guests. Each cottage offered good privacy and the farm was tidy and peaceful. Alpacas were the highlight but feeding all the other cute animals especially the pigs was so fun also! The staff at reception are lovely - I would like to say a big THANK YOU particularly to Esther, who was so kind and generous and helped me patch up my car (which was badly damaged with smashed tailgate and windows from an incident on the last night) for the journey home. I look forward to staying again soon!

We spent 3 hours driving down from Sydney to there, the staffs refused us sitting down just have a rest on the bench in front of the admission office, ordering us to either buy the tickets or leave. Very rude and unprofessional service.

Hi there ! I’m so sorry your trip wasn’t what you had hoped like our other guests . At Starline we have a very small admission fee which is essential to our farm. Given all the hardships our community has been through and the industry we are a part of its and essential part of accessing a private property and supporting local business. All we ask is that our guests give us the courtesy of a quick visit to our office to purchase an entry ticket before using all our facilities if they haven’t already . We have an online ticket purchase for this convenience . We have had many guests assume that they can use all our facilities and access our Alpacas without payment so we now do this to make sure it is fair for everyone. We welcome all our booked guests to sit and relax at one our many park benches and enjoy their refreshments while they take in the view . I’m afraid we just cannot do this for free , if we could we would do it happily. We hope to welcome you back soon !! My apology for the confusion.

I stayed two nights with my three kids (15,2,newborn). My 15 and 2 year old both loved it. They enjoyed the animals, and I loved watching them be so happy. We were provided with alpaca food and fresh eggs upon arrival. The eggs were delicious. We stayed in a Mountain View room which was lovely and clean and spacious. Staff were friendly. The washing machine and dryer are free to use and located near the office. It’s about 20mins out of pokolbin but quite easy to drive in. Very peaceful to wake up to a beautiful sunrise over the mountain. I’d definitely recommend to families. The kids will have a great time.

This was our first visit to Starline Alpacas Farm Stay - and we’ll be back. We stayed in a waterview cottage. It was perfect for our family of five, with everything we needed with modern and stylish fit out. The views from our verandah made for a relaxing stay. The highlight was the alpacas and other farm animals. Plenty of things to do, including tennis, pool, table tennis, swimming pool, bikes and fishing. It’s a perfect place to relax. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our second stay at starline alpacas and was so worth it! The staff are amazing and so helpful and the scenery is just goregous we had a quiet and on the down low elopement whilst there and the staff just really made it special and helped out The backdrop is amazing the photos turning out goregous! Plus it's the perfect place just to relax and recharge No need to leave full bbq and oven at our cabin plus pool, tennis courts, spa, pool table and kids play ground Excited to renew our vowels here with the full wedding shebang next year! The alpacas are so cute and the ducks are fun to watch and feed too

In a year where stress is high and relaxation is low, I've been dreaming of a chance to get back to Starline. My husband and I visited last year by ourselves and loved it, and this time we got to come back with two friends and their toddler. We stayed in the Top Cottage this time around. There was space enough for all of us, kitchen amenities were brilliant, and cooking a BBQ outside whilst watching a duck waddle by was a strange little highlight for me. The property itself is delightful - 360 degree views that don't disappoint, alpacas that love to be fed, a few other animals to add to the magic, and next time I'm keen to fit in a swim and a spa if covid restrictions ease enough to allow it. We'll be back again, and again, and I'd guess that we'll be bringing more friends who will then bring their friends and family along too. Thanks for the stay, Starline!
