It was an excellent hotel experience with helpful and friendly staff, a great breakfast, a clean and good sized room which was well equipped. Perhaps a more adventurous menu for evening meals. Better variety of British ale. Light over pool table. Good luck to you all in your aspirations for the island. It is worth it. We will return.

Excellent accommodation, friendly staff. For us it was an overnight stay giving the opportunity to explore just a little of the island. We enjoyed walking round Achmore Gardens and Kilchattan with its Celtic history, driving to the northerly point and making purchases in the Post Office. It was a delightful visit. Living on the mainland I love ferries and for...

The restaurant is disappointing and spoil a bit the stay : meat asked rare arrived overdone for my husband, for me the rice was cold and the greens nearly raw... When we booked we said that I was vegan, but they didn't take notice at all. There was just one vegan main course, no starter, no dessert available. A big...

Enjoyable stay but disappointed with the poor condition of Achmore Gardens. Unfortunately weather was poor so we were unable to explore the island to the full. Nevertheless very glad we made the trip.

I have never had any problems with my visits. Always very welcoming, warm and comfortable. Lovely receptionist Valerie who is very helpful. I asked for a flask of coffee when I was leaving and wasn't charged! Easy parking. Was helped upstairs to my room with luggage. Lots of buzz in the bar in the evenings with visiting yacht crews, locals...

Gigha Hotel is clean and comfortable on my 18th visit.. Our room was familiar but looked like new with new linen on the bed and new towels in the en-suite bathroom. A new menu seemed hardly necessary, and must have been challenging for the staff. We like plain fare. Sea food is a speciality. The 19 minute crossing is easy...

The location of this hotel is stunning, proudly looking over the Sound of Gigha. We are a middle aged couple who occupied a room at the front of the hotel with stunning views. The restaurant, bar and food were lovely. We found the staff really friendly and helpful. We shall definitely return.

Really lovely hotel, very welcoming, and the owner and staff worked very hard to make sure lots of little details were correct and to give a personal welcome to each guest, many of whom I found out are long time regulars who return year after year. Thank you to Ken, Valerie, Dimitri and all the staff beavering away in the...
