Been here with the wife twice now, both times was just bliss. Always friendly people, staff and guests. The food is good and filling and as for noise? That's just your mind thinking without any distractions, or just chat with the other guests about anything. A normal day starts with a good breakfast, then tea/coffee and biscuits at 11.00, dinner...

This is a superb Retreat and Meeting centre and very accessible from London. Very friendly staff and a great chef dishing up creative, healthy meals. The tranquility and 25 acres with a huge lake makes it an oasis as described in another review. Would thoroughly recommend even for an individual escape from your normal routine as it is also great...

Have been to St Cuthmans before and will hopefully return in the future. Very friendly staff. Lovely house and grounds. I had one of the top bedrooms ensuite with lovely views over the pond. Very peaceful and relaxing. This is a place for retreats and there is a small chapel. Day visitors are welcome- but pre booked.

What a welcome, open log fires, friendly welcoming staff, lovely homely food and comfortable accommodation. Thank you for this lovely few days. The simplicity of the chapel & its outlook made the stay even more special for reflection and quiet. All staff, especially Lisa & Tom were so friendly and welcoming…..will be back! SKM

Beautiful place to stay and relax. The food is outstanding, the house is comfortable and peaceful and the grounds are huge, so you can really escape with quiet areas to be alone and meditate. I have been here a few times now and each time I receive a warm welcome. Staff are on hand if you need them but mainly...

Enjoy the natural pleasures that St Cuthman's Retreat offers: rediscover the art of conversation, or sit and eat quietly in the SILENT rooms; stroll through the 20 acres of beautiful grounds, with its 5 acre lake and abundance of wild life; pray in the delightful Chapel - the choice is yours. “I have stayed in 2 of the rooms here and both have been clean, spacious with lovely views from the window.”

“Choose either the front or the back: the front overlooks the driveway, used for dropping off only, and the back of the building overlooks the extensive gardens. All the rooms are quiet, as the building is well set back from the road.”
