Best B&B in UK. Warm welcolme, amazing property (soon to be even better), friendly staff, brilliant breakfast, Great location overlooking the Thames. Easy to book, although very busy, so plan ahead. Three Daws PH nearby full of mad locals

My wife and I stayed at Thames House late in August, using it as a base to explore the lower Thames and seaside. We were delighted with the kind hospitality shown to us by our hosts Claire and Andy and the congeniality of Thames House. Our room was on the third floor with an excellent view of the Thames and...

We have tried to book this B&B on three separate occasions!! Each time we rang (a mobile) we left a voice mail and on each occasion Thames House failed to return any of the calls - We did actually manage to speak to a Lady on the first attempt (3 days after the initial call), however this was only to...

I are sorry you appear to have difficulty in booking to stay with me. I try to answer enquiries promptly whenever possible. If I am away or do not receive the correct information this is sometimes not achievable. My home has become a very popular place to stay, the rooms do get booked up, therefore I am unable to accommodate...

Really enjoyed staying at Thames house and will return the next time I am in Gravesend. The house is on the gem of a quiet lane in the heart of Gravesend - across the street from the Thames. A very warm welcome - and the room came complete with a set of binoculars! Room was spacious and bright. Really appreciate...

We only stayed for one night but I would recommend this b and b. Our bedroom was huge with 3 large sash windows, lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. It is well situated if you are taking a boat trip up the Thames as pierisonly 3 mins walk away.

I stayed at Thames House for the weekend of 3-4 May, having been influenced by the previous TripAdvisor reviews. They accurately portray the standard of accommodation offered. The personal touch - Claire's helpful knowledge, her willingness to add my 3 days' of cycling clothing to her washing and her interest in her clients - added to the experience. A highlight.

My partner and I have stayed at Thames House many times and it is probably the best b&b we have ever stayed in. How to begin? The house is beautiful, as is the sister house (Mission House). Both overlook the Thames. The Mission House is literally a stone's throw. Architecturally both buildings are of great interest. Combine this with every...

I stayed 5 nights recently and would highly recommend a stay at Thames House, like others I was made to feel welcome, the room was very clean, with bottles of water and fresh milk provided daily. A great selection at breakfast, and cooked to order. A nice quiet spot by the water's edge with some parking lasting 4 hours at...

I spent 3 nights at the Thames House, what a beautiful house, setting and room and all with fabulous views. Claire was a lovely host and had time to chat, my room was spacious and had everything that a traveller needs, the bathroom was modern, all the linen had a luxurious feel and breakfast was yum! I would definately recommend...

My sister and I stayed here for just one night 20/21 July 2013. I wish it could have been for a month!! My sister and I will both return time and again - absolutely everything about this place is top notch. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Thames House is a grade 2 listed property set on the waterfront in Gravesend Town Centre, offering 4 star quality accommodation. Full English or Continental breakfast is served in the ground floor kitchen. All accommodation is situated upstairs on the second and third floors. We have welcomed many interesting people to stay with us in our home and look forward to welcoming you too. We are currently undergoing some building work, the front of house entrance is not currently as attractive as it might be, internally the building works do not detract from the quality of stay, we hope to have completed the works by November. ... more   less
