Number 1 Holyrood was a real home from home. My brother and I were walking the Isle of Wight Coastal Path and stayed here 6 nights. Very pleasant and comfortable rooms and bed. A minor issue in my bathroom was sorted the very next day. Friendly and professional service and good breakfasts. We were invited to treat it as home...

Came here for coffee and lunch with my friend, loved the interior, very quaint with a nice seating area outside. Was thoroughly pleased to find out they served gluten free cakes and bread and had a delicious avocado with poached eggs on toast! Staff were very sweet although perhaps a tiny bit disorganised. Will definitely be returning and can recommend...

We stopped for lunch, we didn't stay over night. The food was fine, but expensive for two sandwiches. I would rather not have waiting staff clearing my plate as soon as I have finished and my partner is still eating. The quality of food was OK, but did not justify the high prices.

My family and I stayed in the Dolphin apartment a short walk from the B&B which was perfect for us with 2 young children (extra bed and travel cot). Beautifully decorated and clean with everything you might need home from home. Generous supply of tea, coffee & biscuits! Delicious breakfast each morning and very friendly welcoming staff. Would definitely stay...

We stayed here whilst visiting the Isle of Wight for a friends wedding. Having had bad experiences with B&Bs we'd chosen for this purpose in the past, we were pleasantly surprised by One Holyrood. The place is ideally located within easy strolling distance of Newport's bars, pubs and restaurants, but at the same time just out of the way enough...

Stayed here with my husband in the premier suite (room 7) for a Valentine's night celebration. The room is lovely and large, with a very comfortable bed. There is a bath plus large shower, with a sofa and TV area to chill out in too. Can't fault the cleanliness of the room, or the wonderful full English breakfast we had...

The Isle of Wight is not at the top of our list of destinations but Thompsons, the eponymous and outstanding restaurant in Newport, was and we needed somewhere to stay. The restaurant recommend One Holyrood and it didn't take long to see why. Lovely, idiosyncratic and individual rooms, a warm welcome and outstanding breakfast, using local ingredients all made our...

Overall an excellent stay! Upon arrival we were offered a room upgrade, and the room was stunning! Decor was beautiful, room was homely and the staff were amazing with recommending places to eat! Breakfast was absolutely brilliant, would definitely stay here again and me and my partner were thrilled with the entire experience.
