I was quite surprised at the price but at 125 Euro including breakfast not a bad deal. The decor in our room was Gothic and interesting but the room was too small to accommodate it even if we weren't cycling and would have been even worse if we had suitcases not pannier bags. For a tourist trap in Edam overall...

We didn't stay there but had lunch while visiting Edam. The decoration is really good (it looks like an old castle) and the food tasted great. I would really recommend it! The slipt peas soup and edam croquettes were great!

We read the reviews, and didn't want a chain hotel, but really weren't expecting this. Life-sized angels on the bar, the Night Watch (Rembrandt) across one wall, chandeliers and candles (lit) everywhere. It is a lovely canalside wooden-framed building. The first room we were offered was completely over the top with chandeliers inches over the bed, statues covering the walls,...

Really enjoyed the stay. Wish I could have stayed longer. Great room. Great food. Great staff. Just outside Amsterdam. Quiet. Wonderful area to experience. Will definitely return there with family. Went for business. Best hotel and food of my Germany and Netherlands experience.

The best Sarnies ever had got in out of the wind and rain (very strong winds 28th Oct), service needs uping, but shes pretty, so that helps. But the menu was a good looking one love to have time next time to stay and sample some of their wares,

This is a lovely hotel in the heart of the old town of Edam adjacent to the canal. There is plenty of on-street parking near the hotel for those arriving by car. The restaurant and adjacent bistros serve excellent well priced food and management and staff are helpful and friendly. Our only issues were that the rooms are a little...

Yes, amazing place, fab atmosphere and good food BUT considering the prices it is not in line! Enjoyed an relatively early Sunday evening dinner and despite a reservation in which I requested for a nice table we were directed at a table right along the way to the toilets and where the service takes place. So we decided to sit...

After cycling for the day this was a wonderful surprise. Bedroom with a fur cover, bath with Bvlgari products.Great for soaking off the days travel.Even better was the evening meal,we were half board so it was left to the chef to choose. Outstanding, fabulous flavours, beautifully presented.

The Damhotel is my favorite place to relax and recover in a beautiful little village enjoying really great food. The rooms are small but cosy, the service is good, people often have time for a chat and the restaurant is outstanding!

Beautiful little hotel in the small town of Edam, we stayed here for one night after cycling from Amsterdam. Really friendly, helpful staff and a fabulous continental breakfast the next morning, and centrally located for all Edam's attractions. We didn't have dinner here although the menu looked great. We hope to stay here again at some point in the future....
