Adrenalin Backpackers is a cool spot for younger folks and families just next to the Gondola Top Train Station. Staff is very nice and helpful special the barman which made also the Reception. You can use also a kitchen. Breakfast ist OK...you have everything. Small supermarket near by and you can eat on the b8g Terrasse. We had a triple room with private bath and shower. Note you have to make your own bed. Short a fun place also the Evening Bar at the weekend. My and my 2 boys liked it👍🥰 great hicking aera. René IG: renepeter57

We spent 3 amazing days at the Hostel. It has a super nice location with a breathtaking view from the balcony. Several hiking trails are available, starting right from the entrance of the hostel. The staff was friendly, and they were also one step ahead of our needs and wants.
We recommend this place everyone who wants to escape from a rushing big city life.

We stayed for one night in a 4 bedded room ( bunk beds). It is very basic but comfortable and ideal if you only want to sleep there. It's about a 5 minute walk from the cable car and practically next to the mountain train.
Breakfast was adequate with a small selection of cereals, cheese , bread and drinks.

On my hike from Solothurn to Arosa I booked in Braunwald for a night in the adrenaline. When I arrived after 7 hours of hiking, an employee told me in front of the closed door that the house was closed. I showed her the confirmation voucher. A gentleman whom she called then led me into a room. The bed was not dressed, no bath towel was available and it was very small. I wrote an email to the address that was on my confirmation. I just wanted to take a shower... The shower was in the same room as the toilet and the lavabo. Unfortunately, the shower curtain was full of mold and I could not and would not touch it. Fortunately, I received a quick email with the phone number from the manager. I contact him and he told me to move to another room. But it wasn't the hit either and the bed was a disaster. For such a room, in a dingy Guest house, without service and breakfast, to charge CHF 85.00 is a cheek! No wonder Switzerland is losing its reputation abroad! No more adrenaline, no more brown forest

This hostel is the worst we have ever experienced. Shabby rooms, broken infrastructure, water damage that was not repaired and totally negative comments from the staff. It was so dirty that we had to go to another hotel. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!!!! The hostel is about to be demolished!

Most wunderful place for a basic budget stay. Friendly stuff and the sunshine made a perfect weekend. Balcony is worth an upgrade. For dinner the chef freshly cooks the famous cordonbleu. The vally is definetly a must see when visiting switzerland.

This seems to be one of the oldest guest houses in Braunwald. It is probably very good for low budget backpackers. Guests paying CHF 120/night for a double could be not so happy, as the place is slightly outdated (WLAN didn't work in our room, carpets on the walls, no minibar, small bathroom). Anyway, it's absolutely clean, beds are comfy and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice, but coffee quality should be improved. Braunwald is a hiking paradise and without any doubt worth a visit!

This hostel is nice, not too expensive either. English speaking, friendly staff, who live in the town. The hostel used to be 'Hotel Alpina' built in 1904, but in 1992, changed to Adrenalin. It keeps a lot of it old style, and the outside and parts of the inside seem to still be from the 1970's. But this is not a bad thing, especially in the Alps, where there is lots of old wood houses and cabins.
The breakfast was traditional Swiss: 3 cereal choices, cheese, bread and all the condiments, orange juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and a selection of flavoured yoghurts.
There is a bar near the reception that serves food and warm drinks too, and you can eat out on a little terrace area. I never went there as I was hiking most the time. There was very loud music there on the sunday night, as I think the staff were having a little party, but it quietened later on.
There is also a communal room with a cold drinks machine and couches, and a kitchen.
The hostel is located right next to the funicular that you must go up to access the village. The view from the balcony is pretty great, as it faces out into the valley.
Remember Braunwald is a small mountain village, with no real town centre, and everything is spread out. There is no party life or anything like that (that I saw during my 3 days) as its not that kind of place. It is full of local families who welcome mainly tourist families and hikers, and hiking is really what the main reason for this area during summer. For the kids there are various animals kept around the village area - cats, mini pigs, goats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and cows with bells.
My only cons were the small shower in my room was a bit dated, but this goes along with whole place, and my pillow they provided was not good at all.
All in all, a good cheap place to stay for hiking or a great view.

Adrenalin is an easy walk just around the corner from the funicular and just a few steps from the grocery store and bakery. My husband and I booked a double room which had a bathroom en suite which was important to us. That feature is rare in most hostels. Adrenalin was very clean, and Marcus and his staff were quite attentive and helpful. A bountiful breakfast of cheeses, breads, yogurts, cereals, juice, tea, and coffee, as well as assorted jams and honey awaited us each morning. The dining room was spacious and well kept. We never ate in the bar, but the menu appeared to offer a lot of variety. We were reluctant to stay at Adrenalin since there was only one review, but our experience was very good, and we would recommend Adrenalin for anyone looking for a comfortable room at an affordable price.
