Recently stayed at the Balear hotel before an early morning flight home. The foyer and reception areas of the hotel are nice and pleasant, however the room we had was not nice. It was very clean but that is where the positives ended. The room was extremely dark with a purple wall. The bed was like a cot bed and the mattress sagged in the middle, needs to be replaced. There were two parties going on in the rooms at either side of us at 1am. We were leaving at 4am and when I expressed my complaints to the man on reception he didn't really care. As we were leaving so early we didn't have breakfast. You get what you pay for. There are absolutely loads of hotels in the area and it is worth paying a bit more for a nicer place.

Just returned from a break with friends. It was a short break so we didn't want to be too far from the airport.
Location of this hotel was ideal, only ten minutes in a taxi to/from the airport. It's just a two minute walk to the beach from the hotel. The area it's located in has a very nice Spanish feel.
Hotel reception staff were very friendly.
The place is a little dated but the reception area is really nice.
We had a nice big clean room for the three of us, with a large bathroom and nice size balcony, with a lovely view of the square.
We had breakfast included which had a nice few options.
Would resommend.

We only stayed one day en route to Cala D'or. The staff were so helpful and went out of their way to look after us.The price is extremely reasonable. They even made us all a breakfast as we had missed a meal whilst flying.

Hotel Balear was such a gem, this feels more like staying in a home. The staff are so caring and friendly and extremely attentive to your needs. They made me feel incredibly welcome, it felt like staying with family. They are always willing to help you and even anticipate your needs, knowing their guests individually. The place is extremely clean and has a really wonderful eco friendly vibe, the rooms are very comfortable. The location is fantastic as it is a few minutes walk to the main bus stops which are very well connected. The hotel is situated in the heart of vibrant and charming Ciutedella , only a short 5 min walk to the centre. Thank you so much to all the incredible staff especially Bernard and Elena for such a memorable stay!:)) Hotel Balear is a must stay when in Menorca!

This is a wonderful hotel: friendly, efficient, comfortable and excellently situated, just behind the noisier seafront area. It looks a little old fashioned and in many ways it is, but in the best possible sense of a personalized sense of service that newer hotels seem to have forgotten. The bed I slept in was very comfortable and the bathroom fittings were modern and well up to standard. The view onto the square at the front of the hotel — a church behind pine trees — is enchanting: ask for a front room with balcony (I was in 407), maybe you’ll be lucky. I would, and I hope will, return to this hotel again and again: for me, it’s Mallorca at its very best.

Pension available after cancellation of a flight, so no choice. Pension that has remained in its juice since the 70s (except elevator). Old-fashioned shower (curtain sticking + tub) , air-conditioning breathless, noisy room (neighbour and street ), light from the hallway under the door, linen holes The rooms are not vintage but old. We paid 220 euros for one night for this! The apparent cleanliness of this property, its proximity to the airport and the quality of its breakfast save this Pension a little. For information recently pesetas are no longer accepted at this establishment:) . If you can avoid sleeping in this Pension...

My parents (70s), sister and our daughters (7,9) found this traditional family run hotel to be very friendly and perfect for our 4 night stay. Nothing was too much trouble, My dad asked to borrow a kettle and a corkscrew, both loaned with smiles. The staff are professional and courteous. Yes it's slightly dated but we enjoyed our stay more than a previous stay in a shiny, modern, rather impersonal hotel. The location is perfect, the breakfast traditional and plentiful. Our rooms suited us. My parents had a balcony looking over the square at the front of the hotel. We had a huge suite with plenty of space, no balcony but with 2 young children, we didn't miss it as we couldn't sit still for too long!!! The communal areas are homely, there are bikes to hire and a pool table. There was some noise overnight, from others moving around I think but earplugs sorted that, plus tiredness from swimming in the sea! I would stay here again.

The hotel is located in Can Pastilla, about 20 minutes by bus from Palma. The bus stop for Palma is about 100 meters from the hotel. We stayed in 2 and 3 bedrooms, all spacious, clean, with new bathroom, hairdryer, TV and minibar. The breakfast buffet is rich with sweet and savory options. Friendly and helpful staff speaks Italian.
It was a pleasant discovery!

Unsure if there was an iron in the room. There are a number of mini markets within minutes walk from the hotel and fairly sure there was supermarket also close by.
