Had a great long weekend at BQ Apolo on a bread and breakfast basis. Rooms were nicely decorated and clean. No tea and coffee facilities but a small fridge, which was useful. We stayed in rooms 307 and 308 (twin beds in each) which had fantastic sea views. The bed was one of the comfiest hotel beds I've ever slept in (and I'm fussy!). Breakfast was fantastic - great selection and really good quality food (see pics). I indulged in a glass of cava for brekkie! The hotel is a great location for walking into town (maybe 5 or 10 mins away) and we even walked back from Palma centre (took between 1.5 and 2 hours). You can walk on the coastal pathway pretty much all the way and it's beautiful. An Uber to Palma Cathedral was around €17.
My only negative was that the hotel (and Can Pastilla in general) is so close to the flight path that you can hear planes really loudly as they fly past. You need to weigh up if you can put up with that for being in such a convenient location. It was March while we were here, so we weren't laid in the pool or sat out - we were out and about. So it might have enjoyed me more if I was sunbathing, for example.
I would absolutely stay here again, it was great.

The hotel is spotless, the rooms are also very clean, comfortable & well maintained. The dining is superb with a wide choice to suit everyone. The location is absolutely brilliant just a few minutes taxi ride from & to the airport, a short stroll to beach & level walk or cheap bus ride into Palma. Quiet in the evening with views across the sea to Palma. The staff are simply the best you could ever wish for, always helpful & very professional who go above & beyond to ensure we are well looked after & amazingly recognise us on return each year. This is our perfect hotel, the staff & location which is why we return every year.

Very nice hotel with good and varied breakfast buffet and advantageous location near the beach and with good transport links into Palma.
The staff was nice but could almost only speak Spanish and German. Communicating in English was not always easy.
Nice pool area where every day there were plenty of sun loungers to choose from. No crowds at the pool throughout our holiday. Can perhaps be explained by the pool in late September was very cold and the sea was all the warmer. We therefore preferred to go to the nearby beach rather than spend the days by the pool area.
The rooms were clean and nice. Cleaned every day by friendly staff. However, as previous reviews have written, the rooms are very responsive. Voices in the corridor and the sound of car traffic from the street were clearly heard even when the balcony doors were closed. Although the hotel is close to the airport, we were not disturbed by the aircraft. You heard them the first day, then you completely suppressed the sound of them. The location of the hotel near the airport was also rather a plus. Taxi to the hotel took 10 minutes and cost 12-17 euros. Fast and easy!
A short walk from the hotel, the local buses run into Palma several times an hour. Cost 2 euros per person and the trip went both fast and smooth!
We would definitely consider returning to this hotel but in such cases ask for a room high up in the building.

We have just returned from our third stay at Apolo . The alterations to the pool are a great improvement & also extra sunbathing area . We had a sea view room (316) overlooking the pool which I had requested and emailed the hotel before our arrival. The rooms numbered 116,216,316, 416, etc overlooking the pool have a small window in the bathroom that you can leave open if preferred. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and all the staff are very helpful. The breakfast and evening meal is very good as we found with our previous holidays, with plenty of choice. Our room was large enough, only one drawer,a large mirror in the bathroom. & shower . We always take extra padded hangers whenever or wherever we travel on holiday. We like the hotel for its proximity to the airport 16€ in a taxi . We had an early flight home and had asked to go in for a breakfast early 7.00am. which saved us eating any airport food ! We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return again at this time of year. Thank you to all your lovely staff .

We booked in here as had a super early flight Anne it was near the airport. Having spent two weeks in Majorca we were used to the crowds and getting up early to grab a sun lounger. This hotel had a chilled quiet vibe, people came and went in a relaxed way, with no crowded feeling. The food beside the pool was limited but good and there was no noise from the airport. Highly recommend this hotel, would stay here the full two weeks next time, although would hire a car as limited facilities in the locality.

The BQ Apollo was a perfect location for us, only 10 minutes from Palma airport,
It is a small hotel with little entertainment for children which suited us well as we just wanted a chilled holiday.
We were bed and breakfast board.
And there was a superb choice for both cooked and continental breakfasts.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Our room was really clean and we got fresh towels and bed linen on a daily basis until our last days.
The pool was lovely and we experienced no issues regarding acquiring a sun-bed no matter what time of day we arrived.
The lifeguard on duty was great. Very observant. We moved places around the pool and she noticed I had left my glasses. And alerted me.
It is close to local restaurants and the supermarket.
There was also a flat walkway, stretching from Palma to Arenal, that we used on a daily basis for exercise. It also had an adjacent cycle path.
It was within easy access to a local hop on and off tourist train which was very popular.
There were only two down points and one can’t be changed.
The hotel is on the flight path into Palma airport but you do get used to the noise of the planes.
The second is that the shower is very high and it would be nice to have a middle fixture so your hair doesn’t get wet … a ladies issue. :)
But I would recommend the BQ Apollo for a relaxing holiday.

Booked for 3 nights and wanted somewhere close to the airport as didn't want to spend ages on a coach to reach our hotel. Couldn't have chosen a more perfect hotel. The beach is a 2 minute walk and there was a lovely selection of bars and restaurants. The resort is so pretty and chilled and everyone we met were so friendly. The hotel is excellent the beds were so comfortable and I had the best nights sleep in ages. The rooms are bright and tastefully decorated and air conditioned and the bathroom was large and toiletries were supplied. Our towels were changed every day and the rooms were also cleaned every day. We were bed and breakfast and the choice was so vast. The pool area was lovely and relaxing and although the planes were very close they did not bother us. All the staff were so efficient and friendly. We arrived before the room was ready so the lady on reception took my mobile number and said she would phone me if the room was ready any earlier and sure enough she phoned me within the hour to say the room was ready for us. We asked reception to book us a taxi a couple of times and they arrived literally in 5 minutes. The only downside of this hotel is there isn't much entertainment but will definitely be back. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a nice relaxing time.

Stayed here for 4 nights in March , we arrived early and were kindly allowed to check-in early . We had paid a little extra for the sea view room and we were not disappointed. As other reviews have stated the rooms aren’t the biggest but served it’s purpose for the time we were there . We were surprised there was not any drink making facilities in the room and this is the first time in a while we have had to pay to use the safe . All of the staff we met were very friendly and hard working , breakfast was slightly German influenced but had a good variety of things to eat. If you come out of the hotel and turn right then immediately left you hit the beach with the local bars and restaurants, we are at 4 different venues and found them all reasonably priced serving nice food . Come out if the hotel and turn left you will come to a main road , cross over and you can catch the 35 bus into Palma for 2 euros, coming back you also catch the 35 which goes the the aquarium. Taxi from the airport cost 15 euros . So all in all a nice little get away

This was our third stay at Apolo . Unfortunately our stay was cut short by a day due to the French ATC strike . We had EJ flights and there were no flights available back to Bristol for 4 days, we managed to get flights with BA back to Heathrow the day before the strike began, which did make our holiday quite costly. We enjoyed our stay very much , the breakfast & evening meals are very good , although as a previous reviewer had said the food is not always very hot , but a lot of choices available both for breakfast & evening dinner. We had a pool/sea view room that I had requested on the 5th floor. I also asked if we could have a kettle and it was in our room on our arrival. The rooms are not very big and storage is limited, only one drawer with hanging space above . The bathroom with a shower, which was a little small, but there was a window to open. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the hotel is kept very clean. The food in the snack bar at lunch time is also very good.
We choose to stay at the hotel due to its short taxi trip €15 from the airport and our previous holidays . If & when we return for any future holidays we would not hesitate to stay at Apolo .
Thank you for an enjoyable stay .

Stayed here for 4 nights at the start of September and had a lovely stay. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and bars. The area is chilled, clean and relaxing, felt very safe. The hotel was spotless and staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was always something to look forward to, lots of variety and fresh healthy options. There is a bus (number 35) which runs into Palma every 15 minutes, service goes until at least 11pm. It was a bit too far to walk, but bike hire is available at the hotel for €10 for 24hrs and there's a well laid out cycle path along the prom right to the cathedral.
If I had to be critical, I would say the bathroom was a little bit small, but perfectly functional and very clean. Would definitely visit again, thank you team BQ Apolo!
