Spent a week here in October 2014. Fantastic weather!! The hotel was right on beach. Food excellent, staff excellent, room very good (beds a little hard). We had 1/2 board and buffet system. Excellent breakfast and excellent choice for evening meal. in all definite 9.5/10 overall. I will return to this hotel and area.

We stayed at the Gran Sol for a week at the end of September, we had booked a twin seaview room and on arrival we were disappointed to be given a double side sea view, even though I had emailed and requested a full sea view, now I know everyone wants these rooms but not everyone takes the trouble to...

We stayed at the Gran Sol for 2 weeks at the end of September on a half board basis. While Cala Bona is the older of the two adjoining resorts, Cala Millor being the other, we were not disappointed with the hotel. It was recently refurbished and the reception, our room, bar area and restaurant felt really fresh, modern and...

The brochure ad shows a double room with large panoramic patio window opening onto a balcony with full sea view. However our room on the side of the hotel only had a small door onto a small terrace on the garden side and was rather noisy because of the adjacent hotel's entertainments including a pub quiz. The room seemed small...

The Gran Sol is a lovely hotel in a perfect location, right next to the beach. The food was excellent, lots of choice and always fresh, and the staff were very friendly. The clientele in the hotel were mainly older than us (probably retirement age). However, this didn't bother us and we met and chatted to some lovely people. However,...

We didnt have the best weather when we visited the grandsol .we found the communal area seating wasnt the best and neither was the chairs in the dining room. They were all very uncomfortable. No undercover outside area when warm but raining!other than that a lovely stay!!!!!

This is the best holiday hotel we have ever stayed in, very clean, lovely rooms and the best food ever. However, Cala Bona is not the best resort being full of rubbish shops, British bars, Tattoo parlours and smokers. We would always like to stay in a Hotel as good as this but would never return to Cala Bona.

This was our second visit to this excellent hotel. Everything about it is first class. The food was lovely. At breakfast the bacon & eggs are cooked specially for you. The restaurant is well organised with a 'calm atmosphere'. The staff, throughout the hotel, are always pleasant & helpful. The location is 'spot on' right on the beach. There were a...

If you look close enough I am sure you can find faults with most tourist hotels along the Med. I certainly didn't look to find faults with this particular hotel during my week long stay - and I am pleased to report that I didn't really find any. OK, I would have liked a slightly softer bed, but you can't...

My daughter and I have returned home today following a week's stay at the Gran Sol. What can I say that hasn't already been said!!!! Staff are so lovely and professional. They made you feel so welcome and couldn't do enough for you. The food was excellent with plenty of choice each morning and evening, although hard to believe there...
