Very clean , quiet and pleasant resort, with beautiful view, heated pool and friendly staff members. Kitchen with almost everything you need. Good location with nearby good restaurants and food stores. Will definitely recommend it to our friends and come back for more good time!
This is the worst resort I have ever stayed in! It is at the end of a road with no restaurant close by, you need a car to get around. ( you would want a car to escape this place) First impressions were of a 1970’s complex that has never seen a coat of paint. The buildings are tired and drab, not at all welcoming. The apartment was musty and the metal shutters on the doors were alarming. The furniture in the apartment could have been the original, impossible to sit on the sofa as there is no padding left and the metal bars from the bed settee were protruding. On the single beds you were aware of the springs, while the double bed sagged so badly in the middle it was impossible to lie in own side of the bed. The shower was so small you would need to be twiggy to get into the shower!! A rep from the resort visited us and told us that Crown Resorts gad bought out all the time shares and apartment owners and were now renting the apartments for €175 a week. You would need to pay me a lot more to stay at this place. …
this resort is not near anything. the bars on all of the windows should have been the first clud. the area is dark and feels very unsafe. do not spend your time travelling all of the way there because you will definitely be disappointed.
Calahonda resort has it's good points, though a few negatives observed by me. Apartment was clean and adequate for our use. The lack of a lift made a 3rd floor unit almost unbearable to cope with. Had to lug up our luggage on arrival by ourselves as there was no provision for any porter or bellboy. The resort was not too far from the main road (and public transport), which afforded us the opportunity to visit places like malaga, marbella, fuengirola etc.
If you're looking for a comfortable, no-fuss place to stay, this is it. Our unit was very spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals if we had wanted. There is a grocery store within walking distance as well as several restaurants. You do have to be prepared to walk to everything, including the beach. We loved that part because we indulged in delicious pastries and bread every day! The 6k boardwalk(1 way) was my favourite part. It was an ideal place to run with the Mediterranean by my side. The grounds of the resort were very well maintained. The resort has sings of some age and wearing but it is charming. Great value.
