I am sorry you didnt find it comfortable to relax. We have sofas in the suites as well as a comfortable sitting room nearby. The wifi shouldnt be awful as I use it all the time. I hope you mentioned to the staff. Our policy is not to have TVs in the rooms - we do try to make sure everyone knows as most people have ipads or the like if they want to view anything.

My wife chose the oldest room in the complex, which I would avoid if you have trouble climbing stairs since the bathroom is down a rickety flight. But, the little porch overlooking the river was lovely, especially at night with Pinhao's lights twinkling. The food was…

Thank you for your kind words and I am glad you enjoyed your stay. The older rooms are hard to access due to stairs (we are on a steep hill) and we do try and warn everyone! But it sounds like you managed. I am glad you appreciated the food - and have given us a nice review!

Hi it depends on what you order but main courses are around €20. Its more on the expensive side for Portugal but people tell us it is worth it as the Chef Pedro Cardoso is amazing

Are you walking distance from the train station?

It's a little bit uphill from the station and about 15-20 mins walking so if you have luggage you may prefer a taxi. It's an easy walk to town from the quinta without luggage.

Hi there, i'm looking at going out for a single night via train. It looks like there is a train that takes about 2 hours from the centre of porto. Has anyone taken the train who can comment on whether this is an easy train journey - how to buy tickets and if 2 -2.5 hours is an appropriate journey time from the city. My flight is due to arrive early on a Saturday morning so we would hope to be at the central porto train station by about 1030 am - so hope to arrive my middle of the day with enough time to explore the property, do a wine tasting and have a lovely dinner before making the train journey back in the mid morning of the next time. Is this ok logistic wise or are there not many trains running on Saturday / Sunday? thanks in advance. K
