We chose this holiday for a quick break. The hotel is large and has good amenities. i e. Restaurant. Bar. Pool. It is only 5 minutes away from the airport. Right by the beach and only a couple of minutes walk into town where you can find lots of bars and restaurants.

Pros: Average and clean hotel at a reasonable price, located nearby airport, good infrastructure (restaurants etc.), friendly staff Cons: Quality of breakfast could improve, noise abatement measures could be considered (window thickness)

We got very disappointed in this hotel. The rooms were very noisy. Every day we woke up because of the cleaning ladies moving the chairs in the rooms above ours. There was a part of the ceiling in our bathroom that came of because of the wind and it made a lot of noise. We had a very bad sleep...

I travelled with my granddaughter to the Dom Pedro for a week at the beginning of April. Very nice hotel, lovely staff and in an ideal location for a peaceful break. Rooms were very comfortable in a traditional style and very clean. We had a sea view room which was well worth the little extra.

Breakfast was amazing and served in a decent hour :-) &h30am to 10am. Great view to the outside so make sure, if possible, you get the tables by the window. A big massive thanks to Odete, Celeste and Marcelo for such a friendly and excellent service. The hotel is gorgeous with a great swimming pool where you can hear the...

Stayed for a night here! We were welcomed by a friendly staff and gave us information that we needed. Room was very clean but the only thing was we got twin bed instead of double. We had room facing the beach and it was perfect as I watched the sunrise. The breakfast they provided was very good and had loads...

We have had a nice one week stay in this hotel. The staff is kind, thoughtful, and try to speak all languages. I read some comments about the old-fashioned decoration... Well... that's correct in my view... However, 4* it's a bit surestimated: there isn't WiFi in rooms (only in the lobby), just a soap and a small shampoo for the...

This was our ninth visit to Dom Pedro, Machico and once again had a fantastic holiday. As usual, the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was a trouble to them. Being vegetarians, meals can sometimes be hit and miss but not here. A word with head waiter George on arrival and we received excellent service in the dining room. A...

This is a lovely old fashioned hotel with attentive, friendly staff and a relaxed attitude. Rooms are dated and without balconies but most have good views of the sea and mountains. The pillows need to be replaced as they spoil a good nights sleep. Housekeeping were excellent and rooms and public areas were spotlessly clean. The food was good with...

We stayed one night only, booked in by Easyjet, due to our flight back to Manchester being delayed overnight. We really enjoyed it possibly because it was an unexpected extra night to our visit. This is one of the older hotels on Madeira but it didn't really show it. Our room on the same level as the dining room was...
