We arrived at the hotel on the 19/09/2016 we was greeted by friendly members of staff. The hotel is situated in a great location around a 15 minuets bus journey into the capital Funchal. The rooms are very basic but very clean. Our room had an excellent view of the lovely hotel gardens, one of the pools and a sea...

Just returned from 7 days at the Dom Pedro Garajau, we had a lovely holiday. We went as 2 couples, even though it was 1 booking they gave us rooms in different blocks. If you want rooms together it is worth asking at the time of booking. The guy in reception soon moved us to adjacent rooms though with no...

We arrived at the Dom Pedro at Garajau on the afternoon of the 7/9/16 for a 7 night stay. The Monarch flight from Manchester was good and the smooth landing at a windy Airport was text book. We ventured in to the lobby to collect our bags and they were ready and waiting on the carousel. We then went to...

My room was clean, comfortable and had a nice seaview. Actually managed to have my balcony door open all night and wasn't troubled by noise or any bugs. Take your own travel kettle, even if you have a kitchenette, equipment isn't the most elaborate. The price I paid was excellent for what I received. People pay 3* prices and expect...

Stayed for 2 weeks in August. Bad reviews are unfair as we knew what to expect from the Hotel with the information supplied when we booked. Exceeded expectations regarding the room which was a good size and not as bad as some reviewers made out, but perhaps as we were in block 5 they may have been better than other...

Our room had a nice sea view and was comfortable. It was kept clean on daily basis. The soundproofing could be better. Breakfast was basic but the food was good. The wifi worked in the reception and best of all in the seated area beside the pool bar. Local restaurants had good food well presented and excellent value for money.

Just returned from this hotel with my husband and daughter. Whilst the hotel was clean it was very basic- like stepping back in time.
