The farmhouse is immersed in the countryside, convenient for visiting Pisa, Siena, Florence. The Senator's room is very large, the furnishings respect the elegance of ancient country villas. What about the small museum curated by the owner: a jewel! Mrs. Cristina made us feel at home. Thanks for everything ☺️

When looking at options with friends we selected this one because it had 5 bedrooms and access to a kitchen. When with kids, having access to a kitchen can be very handy. This turned up to be a great choice. The lady who own the place was very nice and helpful. She accommodated any requests. She also gave us a tour of the farm and the little museum of agriculture that she really treasure a lot! Been in a big group who took up the whole place, we almost felt like we own the place! I really recommend this place to whom may be in a big group or desire to have a quiet place to relax. The place also offered an outdoor BBQ and tables which we unfortunately did not have the opportunity to use as it was a bit chilly in the evening in October.

We stayed in the beautiful Il Senatore room with a view on the garden with BBQ and pool. Christina is very nice and only became 'angry' when I used vegetables from the supermarket and showed me where I could find the vegetable garden for some free super fresh vegetables. The little museum is nice.
Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Our hosts from a close-by B&B took us here as they only had a room for one night? We stayed at Villa Buieri only one night, unfortunately. The host has & is doing a fabulous job of restoring this old monastery. None of the works interfered with the current accommodation as they were in another area of the very large building. It started with a lovely view to the surrounding hills and a warm welcome from the host (unfortunately I cannot remember her name) as soon as we drove through the large gates. Before showing us to our room, there is a very large kitchen where breakfast is served with all facilities available to use including a fridge so you can have your own food. Up the large old staircase to our room, we entered to find a lovely big comfortable bed, a large airy ensuite & again that lovely outlook. There is a very large backyard with seating, a swimming pool, which we didn't use, but we did make use of the large outside wash basin & clothes hoist. When we stayed there was a few bicycle riders who had been there several days & they were very satisfied with the facilities. I must admit I was a little concerned the rooster may wake us up, but he was very well behaved next morning. The breakfast was generous, the host friendly & helpful. We do plan on going back to the Calci area & will definitely stay here again. Don't miss the fantastic little "Trattoria di Montemagno" just up the hill. Scrumptious!

My partner has been visiting this charming B&B for the last couple of years whilst attending the annual Lucca comics and this time around I accompanied him. Excellent choice of accommodation and I can see why he returns every year! Affordable amidst the madness that is Lucca comics and absolutely beautiful place too. It’s a converted monastery that is also a working farm set amidst the most peaceful surroundings. Within walking distance of the fabulous natural history museum certosa and the quiet, so so quiet. The owner Cristina is friendly and will give you the right advice and suggestions for places to go/where to park. Breakfast is simple and classic Italian and always there was a nice cake with a few brioche (by this I mean the Italian idea of brioche), various cereals, coffee and hot milk. Good strong wifi connection and comfortable bed.

Villa Buieri is a quiet, historic accomodation close to the centre of Calci, which is is a rough 15 kms from Pisa and the sea. The farm is big and either if you want to enjoy your time in the pool or to go around and see the poultry you can make your time enjoyable.
Our host, Cristina was extremely helpful and always ready to answer our questions in order to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. It is a pity we did not speak Italian because her English is limited to the very basic expressions - enough to make you able to solve all possible essential issues, though. Her French is rather good, however, as we could observe :-).
Breakfast was standard Italian breakfast - coffee, tea, juice to drink and mostly sweets to eat (there was some bread, too). Fruit is served to accompany the dishes. Kitchen is well-equipped (with the exception of a microwave, though we did not need it). We were encouraged to gather all the fresh vegetables and fruits from the garden whenever we needed it, which we happily did and so had fresh salad on our table :-).

Great communication from Christina the owner right from our first enquiry. I travelled with my two children boy 18, daughter 14 from Ireland. From the moment we arrived our needs where met and the graciousness and helpfulness of Christina and her family was very heart warming. The picturesque accommodation, lived up to reviews and descriptions we had seen. It was so beautiful and different from apartment holidays we had. On the farm they grew fresh fruit and vegetables that we cooked in an amazing but homely well equipped kitchen. Quiet location but accessible to Pisa city so you had options, many options, we took also a train to Florence to visit museums. Found it easy to commute without a car. Bus though it stops early evening ran from the gate of the farmhouse regularly.
When I think of the holiday now here is what I remember. 1. The fragrances from the garden from all the night flowers and herbs.
2. The cleanliness of the farmhouse.
3. Every window and door had insect screens and we did not see one fly or mosquito inside and Christina was very fussy about this.
4. Cheap restaurants locally for when we where not cooking ourselves.
5. Fantastic views from every angle.
6. Museum only minutes walk away and can be seen from farm. 6. Peace pure peace and relaxation.
7. Local supermarkets where very reasonable and you could buy own brand local products at really budget prices.
8. Cheap ice cream parlour where you could also get a martini etc if desired.
9. Spotless pool on farm.
10. Rooms where spacious for a B&B and lovely breakfasts.
11. Free Wiffi in room. It was quite nice of an evening when we where to tired to go out to stick a movie on laptop before bed and also to do internet banking.
12. Views from room where lovely even at night our room could see the famous National History museum all lit up like a fairytale.
We stayed for two full weeks and would certainly love to go back again.
