Pension simple, comfort similar to an Ibis, but with in addition a safe very large and small silent fridge. The Pension is well run with a very nice swimming pool. Very friendly staff. Our room on the second floor on pool was very quiet. A large closet but no closet. Bathroom quite large but not very practical because nothing to dry the bath sheets (so changed every day) and put his things down. The breakfast buffet is nice but small (yogurt, cereals, fruit, cheeses, eggs on demand, croissants and pastries). Coffee served by staff.
We were able to park our car in front of or on the side of the Inn but it was already low season.
This Inn is a great base for visiting Alberobello and the north towards Bari.
NB: restaurant in front of Pension Puglianova or Cibum 3 min walk (for meat lovers) are very good. Otherwise by car 5 minutes on the SS172 La Nicchia (traditional and in a trulli) or Fidelio more refined.

During our visit to Alberobello, this hotel was assigned to us by the bike tour operator. Everything worked fine (incl. large room, bike shed and nice pool). After the hustle and bustle in the town we had enough and wanted to eat something more - but we were extremely positively surprised by the selection and quality of the local dishes. No tourist demolition like tw. "down-town": there's great quality here at extremely moderate prices. If the room gets a little more atmosphere, it might invite more guests to eat.... So definitely eat there in the hotel!

We arrived here in ten from Calabria to spend a day and a half in this wonderful place Puglia. A hit and run on the bike but we were really good. On arrival the hotel looks very clean, nice and great location. To welcome us we find Francesco, the receptionist, polite, kind, smiling, helpful and nice. He even booked us a dinner in a wonderful restaurant. The second receptionist is Joe no less to his colleague Francesco. Smiling too, helpful, nice and kind. The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and here we met Riccardo, the lifeguard, a real gem of this hotel. Thanks for everything Riccardo :)
The rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed a nice parking for motorcycles and breakfast is well stocked. In short, for us it was a really good experience and we hope to return as soon as possible.

The rooms are okay, there is an outdoor pool. But there are negatives; there is a hotel bar but closed, the staff in the restaurant have trouble understanding what was asked when spoken to in English. When taking drinking orders at a table with 4 persons, after writing down one of the guests drink, he want to walk away instead of writing down the other guests wishes. Positive is the distance to the Trulli houses, just about 400 meters.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff were so helpful and caring. Breakfast was very good with fruit and pastries in abundance. Spotless clean room, beds comfortable and bedding clean and crisp. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other travelers for value and comfortable base in beautiful Alberobello..thank you

This hotel is not fancy, however the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The service is excellent and the staff is very courtious. This hotel was our second stop in visiting all of Italy, Alberobello is a beautiful place to visit and the service offered by the staff made it an enjoyable stay. The food is good to excellent, the presentation of each course is done with taste, there is pride in what they offer to their customers. I preferred this hotel better than some other 4 star-hotel that we stayed at later date on our trip. The warmth and kindness of the people was well worth the detour to Alberobello, the sites to see are also great!

We stayed in this hotel for a week as a central base to discover Puglia.
The position of the hotel is at a noisy intersection opposite the bus station but it is only a 10 minute walk into the centre of the trullis in Alberobello village.
There is no village ambience at all.
There are no views at all - we were allocated a room in the new annexe at the rear and were lucky to have a low floor room at the hotel end which meant we had several thick walls as insulation against the noise of the road.
Other guests staying in 1st floor rooms or at the 'top end' suffered dreadfully with room noise.
Room is spacious and extremely clean with fresh linen every day. The bathroom is also well fitted, clean and spacious. The shower is rather old fashioned (for a new annexe) with sort of corrugated folding screen.
We expected better than curtains over the wardrobe space and there are no drawers at all.
Towels are adequate - a bit thin but large enough.
Bed is very large and extremely comfortable - though the grey shiny 'bedspread' is possibly the strangest ever seen.
We had a view of the pool and a balcony and a door which doubled as a window.
(Not all rooms have a balcony)
There are a lot of steps around the complex - some without hand rails.
The staff were very friendly but they haven't quite 'got it' with what discerning holidaymakers want.
Take your own pool towel or use your shower towel. There is also a gangly youth who acts as the 'pool police' forcing people to have a shower even if they have only just got out of the pool and are going back in again!
Mature much-travelled holidaymakers do not like being publicly berated by someone barely out of short trousers & with such a surly expression.
There are only 8 loungers and 4 recliner chairs - woefully inadequate and led to tantrums while we were there. Someone put their stuff on a lounger and went off to change into swimwear and within less than 2 minutes someone came along and chucked their stuff off and claimed their lounger.
During the late afternoon one hardly dare go in the pool for fear of losing the lounger :-(
Not good at all.
Meals are from choices on a set menu - woefully out of date and quite ridiculous to see waiters walking around haphazardly plonking plates down on any random table. One night the choice was pork stew or ham omelette........erm therefore pork or pork.......and pasta pasta pasta........
They will serve an alternative but it takes some doing. Vegetarians are a complete mystery in this hotel. They seem to stick pork in everything :-(
Quite why this hotel don't have a buffet and let guests help themselves instead of having a rigid sit down time of 7.30pm is beyond me. And don't expect to get served at 7.30 - that is drink ordering time. One night the first plate of pasta didn't leave the kitchen until 8.10pm :-(
Personally we thought the food was repetitive and uninspiring and had we not paid half board we would never have eaten in there again after the first evening. The service was desperately slow, the portions extremely small, very little in the way of vegetables (despite a market FULL of wonderful fruit & veg!) and huge long waits between courses.
The chairs are very small seated and uncomfortable and prepare to be sat on them for 2 hours or so.
We also had to sit with random strangers as it was not possible to have a table for two. Luckily we palled up with 3 other couples and tried to keep our table for 8 to ourselves.....it didn't always work.
I am sure there must be better places to stay in Alberobello where there are more sunbeds, a quieter location, pool towels, a varied a la carte menu or buffet and no pool police.
In summary: it was very clean, it was noisy near the road and the entire dining room situation needs a total rethink.
Would I go there again? No I don't think so on balance.
Would I recommend it? Probably not.

Excellent location as able to walk into the village in less than 5 minutes.
No scenic views from the rooms however the back rooms can see the pool.
Good pool, cleaned everyday. Our double bedroom was a good size and kept immaculately clean by the staff, with fresh towels each day. Our only concern was the mould growing in the glass layers of the shower screen... grey, black and possibly ready to crawl out by itself. A shame as the rest of the ensuite was kept spotless.
Breakfast , a good selection, continental style but eggs fried with frankfurter sausage available if you dare!!!(usually cooked about an hour before you arrive in the restauraunt)
Evening meal pretty awful, except for the pasta which was conservative in its amount, but I'd advise eating out as there are some fabulous little places in the village at reasonable cost and with far more ambience than here.
As to the waiter......he kept us amused with his dour, solemn face and grumpy attitude to just about everything he was asked and took great pains in laying out the tables one item at a time which took forever. No safety boxes in rooms, and if you use the hotel safe you have to wait until the manager is in to get your stuff out, not very convenient.
A good value 3 star and well worth it if you are only staying a few days to visit the area but not really a place to stay for a weeks R and R.
