On the plus:

Very nice vibe, great bar, clean and good size rooms (sup. room travelled 2adult 1 child)

We got allocated in another/wrong type of room but they immediatly fixed the misunderstanding and we got a voucher for a free drink on top.

Situated perfectly on the end of a blue slope. Don't worry about the stairs from the ski-room, they will even help you up if needed.

The breakfast is fantastic!

Children will love the playground that is ver spacious, close to the bar, but not to close to hear them yelling ;) It was amazing!

I would say my favorite place in the french Alpes so far!

On the downside:
Children are not accepted in the main swimingpool in the SPA, that is not respected at all, personal sits at the entrance but doesn't check on childen in the pool at all. We didn't mind but of course we took our 5Y old (that wasn't being loud or anything) as well, and we got comments from a couple and had to leave.
Or you respect it and follow up or you let go of the rule, this was a very frustrating point fos us.

The diner was qualitative great, perfect and tastefull but if you ddi'nt like the maincourse (taste of course) the hot alternatives were non existing, there was only one maincourse. So very often you see adult going for the children menu.
That said the starter salads, coldcuts, fish etc... was very nice, you just fancy something hot after a long ski day.

One thing missing (counting the price you pay per night) is a good coffee being served for breakfast. You need to get your coffee at a machine and the quality is so so.

So overall I would rate it very good, all the + make up for minor donwsides.

My husband and I have just returned from this gorgeous hotel. What can I say ? It exceeded all expectations. The room was one of the smaller ones but absolutely fine for us. The power shower was just what we needed to wake us up in the mornings. The spa was perfect. A good sized pool with infinity wave. The hammam and sauna were rarely too busy and the aromatic shower and ice bath added a lovely touch. Robes and slippers in the room was much appreciated and a nice touch.

The bar area was huge and very modern with lots of little extras like free hot drinks all day, pool table, live music on some nights and comfy seating. The bar staff were knowledgeable and the cocktail specials were great. I recommend the Ginger Passion. Again, nuts and tapas were served alongside drinks.
The food was amazing and such a huge choice. Every possible option and combination was available and it was cooked and served beautifully. At breakfast it was so hard to decide what to have each morning. From freshly squeezed oranges, pancakes, cooked and cold meats and delicious pastries. Too big a choice to list everything. The evening meal was a choice of the special meat, fish or cheese dish and then another huge buffet to choose from. The desserts were unbelievable and it was hard not to overeat each day.
The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive.

And just finish, the ski in, ski out is just that which makes the end of a busy day skiing so much easier. The ski room was occasionally a little busy but not unmanageable and the staff were so helpful, carrying skis up and down the steps to the door for us.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples, families and groups and will probably be returning next year. We travelled with a tour operator for ease but booking directly is easy and they offer transfers from Moutiers train station if you take the ski train from England.

Brilliant location. Lovely interior of the hotel, we was really impressed by the bar & cocktails. Breakfast & dinner also provided a lot of options & was tasty. The classic double room is not ideal in terms of size & was smaller than we thought it would be but it still was cleaned with new towels daily.

I really wanted to offer 5* for your 4* hotel but there is some issues .

Good points

The location is great right opposite the lifts in Plagne Centre, you can ski back within 10m and 20M walk in morning to get on slope then another 100M push on skis to lift.

The staff are awesome, everyone I spoke to was really helpful and I cannot thank you so much for a great experience.

JP Taxis service you recommended in
Plagne Centre was also very good.

Room was quite big enough comfy bed and good shower, nice large mirror, bed side tables and plenty of storage .

Ski Shop , best one I have ever experienced in 25 years .

Minus Points

The hotel is too hot, I appreciate you need to keep to warm and it is not easy when you experience such variance of temp in season but I had the radiator turned off in room and it was still too warm , even slept with door slightly open. Even common areas are too hot.

Food was very good and offered a great variety but it is just not hot enough, I even had breakfast at 7.15 one morning and the breakfast was just warm, you really need to sort this out.

Also my wife is allergic to nuts and we can work out main meals pretty well but desserts are impossible to tell if you have nuts in them , every evening we had to ask, when all you have to do is put a note on the deserts if they have nuts or not, this is what you see in other hotels we have stayed in and offers a better overall level of service, and limits mistakes as one evening we where told it did not have nuts but it did was just lucky I tasted this dessert before my wife.

.

Family holiday. All family members loved the hotel, rooms, spa and restaurant, food was varied and very nice although breakfast was a little cold (eggs, bacon etc). Great children facilities, they could entertain themselves in the games area.

Really great hotel . Location is perfect for ski in ski out . Love the interior design . Buffet breakfast really good and a lot of choice too . Lovely modern bar suitable for all the family . Totally agree with other reviews that the rooms are a little small and far too hot . We turned the heating off but the room was still very stuffy . We resigned to opening the window but was a little noisy . Very clean , comfortable bed and plenty of lovely fluffy towels and robes with flippers for your trip to the spa . Nuxe products in bathroom and spa . Our only gripe along with other guests was that children were allowed in the spa ?! Far too noisy and many unaccompanied by an adult . I’ve never been to a spa where under 16s are allowed in let alone run riot n the pool and sauna and steam rooms . A disappointment for people wanting to relax and chill . The children have a fantastic area just for them with cinema , soft play area , games machines and juice , water and popcorn on tap . There really should be and adult only time for the spa . We would definitely come back again .

Stayed at Araucaria with my family to ski in La Plagne.

The location is absolutely fantasy location for skiing, the meeting point and several ski lifts are about 100m away from the hotel. The ski shop within the hotel was very well priced, and had great equipment for beginners like us.

The breakfast at the hotel was very good.

The family rooms were large and comfortable for a family with two young kids.

The hotel's spa was excellent with an adults and kids pool, along with a sauna/steam room/ice room. Perfect after a long day of hitting the slopes.

The recreation centre was especially fabulous for the kids with board games, arcades, a movie area and a nice relaxing area for adults.

Overall, it is an excellent hotel for young families. I would highly recommend it.

Stayed at this hotel from 6th to 13th January 2024 with my wife.

Everything was exceptional from the restaurant to the ski room and from room services to the excellent spa.

Location is fantastic , ski in ski out, right on the slopes beside the Becoin chair lift and in the centre for shops, restaurants and ski schools.

Service was 5 star. The staff couldn’t do enough to help you, especially the waiting staff in the restaurant and I pay special credit to Natalie who was very helpful and educational helping me with my French. The food was excellent French cuisine with plenty of options for adults and kids. The specials each night were divine and need to be tried, especially the fish options.

The spa was a daily treat after a day on the slopes and included pool, sauna, ice room, steam room (hamman) and senses shower. Because the hotel is circular it was really handy to get from room to lift and spa and dressing robes are all provided in the rooms.

The guys in the ski room were great at providing top quality equipment based on experience and helped each day, morning, lunchtime and evening to bring equipment up and down stairs from ski room to door for the slopes.

We stayed in room 410 which was a corner type room and had 2 great views of the mountains across La Plagne and the ski lift at Becoin. It was quiet unless there’s lots of snow which the bull dozers need to move. The hotel is also close to the Stadium ( Stade ) de Slalom bus stop which is useful if you need to use the free ski shuttle bus to / from La Plagne to other villages. Check out the La Plagne / Les Arcs ski app - Yuge which has lots of great info like interactive ski map, bus schedules and ski tracking ( but this feature not as good as Ski Tracks).

In finishing the Room Services were excellent, servicing the room every day if you wish. All rooms had tea/coffee making facilities but could have done with a small fridge - that’s my only suggestion.

We will be returning next year for sure and hopefully with our usual big ski party who like to ski early March. We went in January to ensure better snow as 2023 was poor for snow across Europe in March.

Overall despite the official star rating, the hotel, services, food, location and staff are all 5 star.

We were impressed with the hotel! The family room was spacious and had a great layout! As others commented there is not much room for the clothes but it was enough! The food at the bar was very good as well as the space for the kids and the adults. It was very quiet in the bar, we were at a Club Med in the previous week and the much calmer atmosphere called our attention. The spa was great, kids loved the kids and main pool and it was nice after a day in the slope. Another big plus is that it is just besides the piste for Plagne Centre, in front of Becoin lift. This means it is super close to the galleries with a very good amount of shops and restaurants. Great holiday in a great hotel!

This is a perfect hotel for family ski in and ski out. This is our fourth visit and we have already booked for 2023. The family facilities are amazing, accommodation is brilliant, staff lovely, ski shop in basement is perfect. Bar for adults with kids area allows parents to relax while the kids have fun. One critique is lack of bar food for kids as the evening meal in restaurant, which good, does not suit all. A small offer of pizzas for example in the bar would be the total package for us. Would totally recommend this hotel for family ski trips.
