This is set in its own garden and small forest on a bit of a hill. Views all around. Our room was spacious, windows on 2 sides. A large bathroom with ample space. A large comfortable bed. A lift for bags or if you don't want to use the stairs and a winding staircase to the main floor - the...

We stayed in the cottage, where the rooms are more affordable. The chateau itself is lovely and the swimming pool is great - we spent our 3 days mainly by the pool! The staff is very friendly. The cottage room was ok, it had airco which was great. But the room was very dated: stains in the (horrible green) carpet,...

We were fortunate to stay at Chateau de Castel Novel for seven days and it was magnificent. The staff's attention to detail was excellent. From the moment we arrived in the taxi, the staff greeted us so warmly, it was like we were family. The accommodation, the food the service was outstanding. The crystal clear pool was so inviting. The...

In the centre of France, tucked into the Northern corner of Brive-le-Galliard, stands a castle of breathtaking beauty, and immured with immense charm. It is amazing that such a place should be open for guests and available for holidays. Privately owned and part of the Chateaux Hotels collection, Castel Novel will take your breath away. The gardens were first opened...

Lovely staff, beautiful views and very well maintained chateau, this is a real find. Some rooms were a little musty but in such an old property I think it's understandable, and our room's aircon was faulty, but even so I'd fully recommend and return to this hotel!

Located on a small hill overlooking the environment this charming castle is a very relaxing place to enjoy a day or two. The meals prepared by the one star chef are surprising and very good. And if the weather allows you can enjoy lunch and dinner on the terrace in front of the hotel. Even early in the season like...

I stayed there long ago - July of 2004, and I still think of it fondly. I went with a Tauck tour, and was a young college student who was having an experience of a lifetime traveling before my semester abroad. There are many things here that were just... majestic. First, my mother and I were blessed with staying in...

This family operated, renovated chateau sits serenely in the French country side. The French writer Colette once lived here and must have been inspired by this bucolic setting. Each room was delightfully unique. The morning mist covered the fields almost making it dreamlike. The food and service was excellent and they couldn't have done enough for us. True professionals. It was a last minute booking as a stopover for our vacation on the west coast of France. I chose it purely to surprise my wife and a short adventure in an old chateau for our 6 year old son.
