The hotel is absolutely beautiful, each room is decorated with perfect attention to detail. The Regina Team went above and beyond to accomodate our wishes including preparing a special cake for my boyfriends birthday- the food was excellent! We had an unforgetable experience and I am already looking forward to our next stay!

We stayed at the Hotel Regina while my wife was at a conference in Bad Gastein. We really enjoyed our stay there even though the official conference hotel was a short walk away. The staff and management were all very welcoming and helpful. the breakfasts were very nice as were the dinners there. At night the lounge area became a...

After a long trip from Salzbourg and Dachstein mountains, we've arrived late at this hotel. It's a little bit far from the highway but Bad Gastein is a wonderful village. People at the reception were vey welcoming. Two young women gave us the main information for a good stay. The hotel is very central and you can easily walk in...

Located close to the Casino and the famous waterfall, the Regina Hotel is a fine boutique hotel where the owner succeeded in creating a hip place with a cool atmosphere. The interior is eye-catcher reflecting its shabby chic. Rooms are rather small but comfortable. Free WLAN, spa with Finnish sauna, steam bath and relaxation area available. This house can be...

The Regina Hotel was chosen by my wife and booked through a website. The occasion was her birthday. The story about the hotel that could be found on its website humbly reflects the reality of hotels' operation. The Owner of the hotel, Mr. Olaf alongside with his associate Mr. Jason are constantly "lurking" behind every corner making sure that things...

The Regina Hotel surprised us in everything that we've expected from our stay over Xmas in Bad Gestain. Very pleasant place to stay, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The sitting area and the lounge feel like entering your own leaving room with tons on books and carefully selected stylish magazines, offering a stunning views over the city valley. Small...

This is a three star hotel and so my review is based on this. So for a three star hotel it has an excellent bar/restaurant area, a small cinema room, and very nice sauna. The breakfast was good and varied. Dinner was usually a set menu and also good. The bar offers wifi and has views overlooking Bad Gastein which...

We stayed at Hotel Regina for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. While the location of the hotel, it's affordability, interior decoration, room quality and ambience were all fantastic, it was the service that made our experience unforgettable. The staff went above and beyond what was required to ensure that our stay in Bad Gastein was comfortable...

Great stay at the Regina.. 2min walk to bus station.. 5min ride to main station. Brilliant staff always on hand. its still got its old school Bad Gastein Austrian charm, but now has some modern small touches across the hotel.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The sophisticated, slightly fusty imperial and royal charm that pervades the air at the former imperial spa of Bad Gastein in Austria, ends abruptly as you cross the threshold of the Regina. Its youthful manager, Olaf Krohne, a Bad Gastein-enthusiast for many years, has awoken the hotel from what had been a seemingly eternal slumber. The design mixes furnishings reminiscent of the old Baroque with a spark or two of irony. The hotel also boasts a futuristic summit bar at an altitude of 2,161m. Special Features: This hotel is perfectly suited to young and young-at-heart individualists with or without children. Dogs are welcome. It is the ideal base for winter sports. The REGINA's ski bar is situated at an altitude of 2,161m in Sportgastein in a spherical UFO-style (former) lift, designed by architect Gerhard Garstenauer. The Regina Café at Bad Gastein's railway centre also belongs to the hotel. In summer, the REGINA Mountain Beach, on the southern side of the hotel, is a great place to relax. A wonderful base from which to experience the mountains, whether you enjoy walking or any other kind of mountain sport. ... more   less
