We enjoyed our brief stay at Waldrast. The staff were so nice and friendly and engaged us in very pleasant conversation. We had gorgeous views from our room and liked our balcony overlooking the mountains. Waldrast is a bit out of the way, but very easy to access by car. Breakfast was fine, in a lovely room. Wifi was a... More

We drove further to Reutte, just because a guidebook suggested that we could find more valued accommodations there than in Fussen. We were glad we did. Pension Garni Waldrast is located in a remote part of the town with a beautiful setting... a large meadow with a view of snow-capped mountain in the background (see pic). Upon arrival, we were... The best thing about this place is the staff. The owners are extremely helpful and nice people, ready to recommend places and make your stay as nice as possible. On arrival you receive a Guest Card which gives you free access to the municipal swimming baths and saunas, which are excellent, and the local cable car, which leads on to... More

The owners of this place are fantastic. They are the nicest people. The "son" speaks very good English and we were able to communicate everything. He went out of his way to help us find restaurants and shopping. The setting is gorgeous, at the base of the alps with nice views. Parking is easy, the place is clean and quiet.... More

Our family enjoyed our stay here very much. The room was comfortable and clean and our host was very helpful. The breakfast was delicious! We would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay! The night we were there it snowed and so in the morning everything was so pretty with just a dusting of snow over everything.

My husband and I spent four nights here in early January. The Huter Family who own the hotel are wonderful people, very friendly and warm. Our room looked out towards the road with a side view towards Ehrenberg Ruins. The ruins are lit up at night and are quite beautiful. Although we were facing the road, there was very little... More

I came here with four university students for a weekend excursion during our study tour up north. It was a pleasant, warm, and hospitable environment that enhanced our three days looking at castles in the area. The hosts are kind an welcoming and the breakfast a delight. I would highly recommend this for a family, romantic couple, or a group... More

We stayed in this hotel over the Holidays. It is in a convenient location for exploring the castles in Germany. The owners are personable and make you feel very welcome. Daily included breakfast is better than many other similar hotels. Even though the hotel is right on the road, rooms are quiet and seem like 'rustic Bavaria.' Reutte is a... More

This was an exceptionally quiet place, which was what we were looking for. It's also quite quaint. The wifi is virtually non-existent - had to stand by the window at the end of the hall to get any signal at all. The views are great; however, the balcony is quite scary - seems pretty shaky. Was quite disappointed in service... More

We stayed here in July 2012 and found the location to be convenient and the rooms very comfortable, particularly for the price. The balcony views of the Ehrenberg ruins are a very nice bonus. We also found the owners and family (who live on the top floor) to be outstanding. We had a family emergency that required being able to... More
