I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is great. It is right in the middle of Granada, so you can walk everywhere. One of the nicest features of the hotel is its colonial courtyard. It is an excellent place to enjoy breakfast or a coffee. The rooms were very clean, but the decor in the rooms was too...

My husband and I had 4 wonderful nights here at the Patio whilst exploring Granada and all the interesting places around it. The hotel grounds with the inner courtyards were just beautiful, especially with a pool and a poolside bar and also breakfast served in the first courtyard. Luis our barman always looked after us with happy hour and then...

My daughter and I stayed 4 nights at Hotel Patio del Malinche. It's a converted colonial home with a lovely central garden, tastefully decorated grounds and quiet rooms. There's a small pool too, perfect for cooling off after a long day exploring the many attractions nearby. The hotel is a short walk to numerous restaurants, a lively pedestrian zone and...

We found this hotel just by walking. Location is great, one street from the famous La Calzada where all the tourists and expats stay all night long. Yet, this hotel is very quiet and if you are looking for a good night sleep - this is the place to be. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, spacious,...

We began a two week vacation in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama at this hotel. The rooms are set back from the Street separated by the hotel lobby and first courtyard. The staff is friendly and gave us great advice about where to go in Granada to explore the city and eat. The rooms are basic but comfortable and a...

Stayed for 3 nights. Well located a few blocks away from the central square – it’s a 10-min walk at the most, but enough to be away from the noise. Beautiful colonial building with lovely well maintained courtyards, gardens and pool. Had a room on the upper floor overlooking the pool. No sound-proofing (typical for colonial buildings in Nicaragua), however...

First off, the hotel itself is beautiful. I loved the Spanish colonial style. It's really clean and quiet. Perfectly kept and the housekeeping is point. The hotel is also perfectly located because it's about 2 blocks away from the Central Park and the street where all the restaurants. The free breakfast is delicious, especially their juice! Also the bar's mojitos...

A few blocks from the town square, this charming small hotel has simple but comfortable rooms, good A/C, beautiful courtyards with hammocks, gardens, and a small pool, and exceptionally friendly staff. Breakfast is a choice of a few options, all freshly made and including local fruit. There is a small, unpretentious bar that serves drinks in the evenings to guests,...

If you find yourselves travelling around Nicaragua or visiting Granada this renovated hotel by the Spanish owners have created a beautiful oasis which is placed in the heart of Granada but you feel away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Spanish owners (who both speak good English) and the staff are very kind and helpful and their...

My son and I spent a few nights in this hotel. It was super clean, great location with breakfast served daily. All that by itself was terrific but what made it even better was the helpful staff. Everyone was so friendly. Edwin, the hotel manger, was exceptionally helpful. He gave us suggestions for places to eat, things to see and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
More than a place in the world, a house is a place in one's heart. El Patio del Malinche is more than just another hotel, it's a dream come true. Our interest to live in a different culture and to get to know new horizons took us to the ancient town of Granada. The sun-dried bricks of Granada's old walls and the hospitality of its people bewitched us. By restoring an old colonial house we relived a life of peace and serenity created by its inside patios full of history. We hope our guests will be able to revive and share with us the atmosphere of other times. We will be delighted to share our house, where life pours from every corner. ... more   less
