I traveled here with a friend (two women in our early thirties) and stayed for two nights. There are some positive things -- great location on La Calzada, beautiful hotel and common areas, very pretty upstairs outdoor patio with great view of the Cathedral, and tasty breakfast of gallo pinto and scrambled eggs. Manuel helped us arrange an amazing tour...

I travelled here with my mom and we stayed 4 nights. This hotel could be an absolute gem if the owners and staff had any clue how to manage it. Old, charming and simple does not need to mean dilapidated and filthy. While the main area and room itself were fairly clean, our beds and pillows were not. The pillows...

We wasn't planning to go there, but it was nice, a little noisy, but it is because of the location which I think is really good, because it is just at the beginning of la calzada, which we loved... Staff was friendly, nice breakfast included, I didn't ask for my breakfast at first cause I didn't want Gallo pinto anymore,...

We were there for only one night. The place is charming, in an old colonial house. Sherman and Manuel at the reception were both friendly and helpful, with recommendations and organizing transport. The hotel is well situated close to the attractions but for this reason can be a bit noisy at night. We always travel with ear plugs so it...

Right in the heart and centre of Nicaragua, this cosy posada is the perfect spot for exploring the city. At the top of the main nightlife artery Calle La Calzada, this small hotel is also a stone's throw from the Cathedral and Parque Central. It's friendly and welcoming and pretty clean, but there are a few issues. However, for the...

This hotel is very conveniently located right on the Calzada and only a block or two from the Cathedral and town square. We had the antic room and it more than did the job. We even had a little terrace a few steps from our door. Our room also had air conditioning which was great after a long day outside....

First, we had a small and dark room in the attic. It was a bit dusty and didn't worth the price. But the next morning, the manager offer us a big room on the ground floor which was much nicer ! Though it is important to know that some room don't have any windows and could be quite noisy. Anyway,...

We could talk about the spacious rooms, high ceilings, authentic building, great location (keep in mind the noise that can accompany the central location) classic decor & great rocking chairs but really Sherman shines through above all this. The hulking man greets you like old friend and if your lucky maybe an arm wrestle! Full of wisdom about Granada you...

I stayed at this quaint colonial style B&B and I loved it. It is conveniently located and the staff is very friendly and informative. I especially enjoyed singing a Japanese song "sukiyaki" (I'm Japanese) with a staff member Sherman and talking about Japanese stuff. Apparently he has interacted with JICA volunteers and even hosted Japanese embassy for an event at...
