Not pleasant at all. House keeper helped me with my Spanish. She was nice! Water leaked from ceiling a lot which was very irritating if you ask me. Went out with a few guest and that was fun. But I wouldn't stay there again.

This is a super late response due to traveling. Stayed for about a week, decent place. Stayed in cocibolca and room was very low quality. Very damp smell. Furniture not so good. Beds are not comfortable. All in all I would recommend this place if you would like to visit the twilight zone. Owner doesn't speak well English has Dutch...

Enjoyed my stay in my studio apartment in Granada. Very reasonably priced, had everything I needed and was in a great location, just a short walk to Parque Central. I had an air conditioner which really helped this Alaskan visiting a hot country! Nice courtyard to visit with neighbors, comfortable, clean and welcoming. The managers are super friendly and very...

I stayed here for two months over the summer and have nothing but great things to say about El Carmen. Safe, comfortable and only a few blocks from Parque Central. Arnold and Donna Lee are both super friendly and great hosts. I will definitely stay here again next time I come back. Best place to stay in Granada.

I have just about completed a month in Guesthouse el Carmen in Granada Nicaragua, and I'm sad to have to move on. Arnold and Donnaly own the hotel and they make it more like a home than anything else I've ever stayed in. Very close to things North Americans want to see and do, but off the busy street traffic...

Spacious, CLEAN rooms (Celina does a tremendous job) with all needed for a comfortable stay. A previous reviewer said no coffee, but the rooms have coffee makers and there are 3 pulperias within a minutes walk. Fully stocked kitchen etc,...

We were able cook some of our own meals - there are good super markets nearby and a street market off the main square where you can get almost anything. Its a very...

I had a great stay at Hostal El Carmen. Arnold and Donaly were great hosts. The price was amazing and the accommodations were superior. They have a great patio to lounge in and a couple of hammocks for complete relaxation. I highly recommend calling them when you come to Granada. Within walking distance to central Granada. Nice colonial atmosphere.
