The staff was very friendly and helpful and everything was perfect. Great value and excellent daily breakfast by the pool. It's a short walk from the city center but much nicer to have some relaxing quiet nights instead of all the noise of the city.

This hotel was one of the highlights of out rip to Nicaragua. Extremely comfortable, wonderful service, and just as beautiful as the pictures. Short walk or taxi to the centre which is a god thing to avoid note and get as good sleep. Safe neighborhood. You won't Be disappointed.

I stayed at this hotel last fall and I am planing on revisiting this fall because I enjoyed my stay. I slept like a baby every night because the hotel is situated on a quiet street out of the noisy part of town but not very far in case you want to take a 5 minute cab ride to the... More

We could not have enjoyed this hotel more. It was clean, quiet (for Central America), beautiful. Staff were the most helpful and friendly I have encountered. The pool area is beautiful. We would love to stay here again. My only very minor complaint would be no hot water showers as advertised, but after a couple showers and being out in... More

We stayed there for one night in July 2013 and it was fine. We did not need air conditioning. It cost $40 for my wife and I and our 13 year old daughter. The room was a little small with two double beds. The usual cold water shower was fine. The pool; was fine, I could swim two or three... More

What a pleasant surprise. This hotel sits outside of the downtown area by a few blocks. It contributed to the quietness. Also this allowed us to walk through the local neighborhood and watch the children playing soccer in the street. The hotel was immaculate and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was sparklingly clean and a great... More

We were three young girls traveling in Nicaragua and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Hotel La Mar Dulce. The staff was very helpful and very nice - the breakfast was tasty and the rooms were perfect! The pool was also beautiful and extremely refreshing. The hotel was peaceful - a nice getaway from the hustle of downtown. It... More

The first thing you should know--- this place is not easy to find! Streets in Granada aren't named/marked and getting directions from locals is no easy feat (especially when arriving on a dark Saturday night!). However, we found during the light of day that there were signs around town for the hotel... but many of the signs had been picked... More

Staff was very nice, rooms are 3 star level in the US rating and clean. Pretty difficult to find the location because it is in a small street, in a residential area, with few street lights so you better find the hotel before dawn. Breakfast was delicious but slow service, don't be in a rush to get served!

We stayed at La Mar Dulce on a visa renewal over Easter weekend. It was a delightful respite after a day of touring in the hot Nicaraguan sun. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well air-conditioned. The pool was clean and refreshing and the beautiful landscaping contributed to a very pleasant, relaxing time. Just... More
