Leave the main road behind you and take the walk up to Oasis. Our bungalows are spread out in a beautiful garden, bordering the jungle of the National Park and a group of macaque monkeys are among our regular visitors. The hillside restaurant has sea view. Don't want to miss out on the fun of Lonely Beach? Just a three minute walk downhill and you are in the middle of the village!

Great atmosphere and staff. Highly recommend the restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast. Located on a hill, but that doesn't matter unless you have no fitness at all. They have a nice pool with sunbeds. Walk to the sandy part of Lonely beach is 15 minutes. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow, the air conditioning was efficient and silent. The bathroom walls and roof are not "airtight", so some flies, ants etc will pay a visit, and will find their way to the main room as well. This didn't bother us, but it's good to note if you're looking for a hotel-like accommodation. Bowie the cat was great company, sorely missed! While we loved the place, with the bungalow tidyness level and the lack of complimentary breakfast we did find the price to be quite high compared to our accommodations in other parts of Koh Chang and other nearby islands.

If you want to get ''living in the jungle'' experience, look no further. Jungle setting, good Thai food, amazing burgers and most of all - total tranquility. Stunning views especially during sunset. We will return.

Absolutely great choice. Do stay here. Excellent rates for bungalows with fan or A/C, though trust me, get the A/C room if you can. All of them should have it, really. The restaurant is FABULOUS, and I mean it wholeheartedly. The selection of both Thai & Western food is terrific, the taste is spectacular, and for once, the portions are BIG, so I don't have to order 2 dishes per meal here like everywhere else. The food is so good that it alone warrants the 5 star rating, and precludes any desire to eat anywhere else. The bungalows are simple and decent, all you need; and the outdoor shower/toilet grotto is a welcome touch. The staff is friendly, and so are the rescued cats that hang around. The rescued dogs are ok, but requested to not be petted. The location is set uphill from the main drag at the end of the road, so is as far away from the noisier street din as can be. You might hear some nightclub sounds, but it's not too bad. Earlpugs resolve it if necessary. Mosquitoes are epic, but that's Thailand, not Oasis. Muscle balm such as Golden Cup & Icy Hot are perfect mosquito repellants, by the way. (yah-MOHNG in Thai, if you want to buy). The only real complaint I have is that there is no designated smoke-free zone in the lounge/dining area, so we nonsmokers have to endure the smokers contamonating the chillout/dining area. Otherwise it is just fantastic, and I will definitely stay here again when in K Chang. Also you can rent a motorbike just at the street end of the soi at Mama's Motorbike rental for 150 or 200B. Your search is over. Just stay here. Enjoy.

Oasis is a lovely place, in a great jungle setting. An easy walk from the main road, yes it's uphill but it's very short- if you're even slightly fit it won't be a problem. I stayed in one of the basic jungle huts, and it was good for the price. It's not luxury, but had everything I needed. Unfortunately as you'd expect, the walls are very thin, and this doesn't pair well with the loud music from the local clubs at night. A few nights I could quite clearly hear the bass thumping from about 0000-0500. The restaurant is ok; good friendly service, although my Penang curry was very oily, and morning toast was more like bread.

Went to Oasis restaurant by scooter. It goes up on a hill from the main road in Lonely Beach. Beautiful setup and building. They also have a special view tower, go there after eating. It’s very peaceful and the food is just great. Staff was kind. I recommend burgers and blueberry shake!
