Detailed Reviews
The gardens were really beautiful with many birds and little frogs at night. Our balcony was amazing overlooking the lovely gardens. All of the staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. We hired a scooter from the hotel and went to many beaches within easy reach. We think this hotel was better than the others by the beach as it had more cool shady areas from the heat of the beach to relax.

we had a good weekend stay at this hotel. It offers all the basic you would expect form 3* property. Rather basic restaurant offers decent meals, thankfully service expands to the pool - so whole day chill out there is possible. Air con a bit week, but comfortable bed outweigh that.

Incredible value for money if you don't mind not being on the beachfront. The onsite pool is plenty big enough and lots of loungers too.
We travelled with our 16 month old and the cot provided was the best cot we've ever had in a hotel - basically a full sized cot like she has at home.
The rooms are big, if a little basic, and the terrace out the back is spacious with a couple of chairs and table to spend an evening. It's in a good location, walking distance (or a 50 baht songthaew) to the nearest 'strip' of restaurants and shops, and a couple of elephants out the front that you can feed for 50 baht.
The pool itself has a sloped entrance and whilst the majority of the pool is tiled, the entrance bit is a sort of gritty / pebble-dashed surface - i cut my feet a couple of times and my daughter had to wear crocs in the pool.
Overall, a really lovely stay, but don't expect luxury (not sure you would at the price)

We stay at Ramayana for a few night but me and my best friend can get a best memories with this resort because ramayana is so comfortable and greenery. Resort is not on the beach but they provide a free shuttle bus service to the private beach every hour. We would like to recommend this resort.

They were incredibly nice and helpful the entire time! This place is amazing—the food at the restaurant is fantastic, and I loved having breakfast included. The location is surrounded by nature, the rooms are spacious, and the staff was always attentive. I will definitely come back again!

We have been coming to Koh Chang for many years but have always overlooked this resort, usually going to a seaside resort such as Paradise resort and Chai Chet. This resort is just as luxurious, only 3x cheaper and we will visit the sea with the moped that you can simply rent from the reception without passport hassle. The breakfast buffet is quite extensive with very tasty Thai food. Restaurant very good. Very friendly staff who are happy to do anything extra for you without asking.

+1
The hotel's far away from the beach, they do have a shuttle bus to take you to a private beach every day though we used it only once.. Its a lovely green hotel with well maintained gardens and a really nice pool. the staff and service is excellent.
The restaurants only open for breakfast and its a good spread .
My only complaint would be that they overcharge for the tours and transfers booked by them and you can get it alot cheaper outside.. also they dont accept cards and only take payment in cash.. you never see a bill or receipt.
As for restaurants near by you should visit Phu Talat this very charming place by the river and its a 5 min walk from the hotel. also theres a family run shack a little past the elephant santuary on the right with really nice local food and the best pork chops in the area..

We stayed at this hotel on New Year's holidays with two children.
We lived in a family villa - there are three of them. For me there were some advantages - two separate rooms and two bathrooms, excellent new air conditioners.
Of the minuses, it is located right next to the road, a secondary one, but still passable. The house is in the Thai style and has boards and cracks, making it very audible. Earplugs saved me). Plus, our bedroom had an incredibly hard mattress. It was not possible to replace it, because all the rooms were occupied, in the end they put a few blankets on us and it was ok).
It would be more comfortable for me to take two standard rooms with a common door, but for some unknown reason these do not exist here. In principle, finding a family room in Thailand is a big problem.
Breakfast is standard and not bad, but the coffee is instant.
The area is great, just perfect. If you have your own transport, the remoteness of the beach does not matter. We have never used the transfer.
In fact, I give 5 stars for the staff. Unrealistically responsive, open, always ready to help with anything! Perfect cleaning! They organized a wonderful celebration on New Year's Eve, we were all delighted!
I wish the hotel prosperity!!!

We were extremely happy with the hotel, it is a small but very quiet hotel complex, with beautiful rooms and a pool area. The staff makes the holiday even more beautiful. There is an internal taxi that runs at certain times to take you to the beach, you can have something to eat and drink before going. The hotel food was a dream. If we go to Koh Chang again, we will only go to this hotel 😀.

Hello sorry, i didnt see your question earlier... rthere is no kids club for sure but many kids around and a nice swimming pool with a small one for kiddies
Hello Mrs Louise,
Apologies for the late reply! I've only seen your message now. If you land in Bangkok it is easiest to take a minivan from Bangkok directly to Koh Chang, the Ferry price will be included. You can book online or directly at the airport. We found Thailand to be safe and the people respectful and easy to deal with... Thailand is beautiful in April! Wishing you a great trip!
Dear Guest,
We provide a free shuttle to White Sands beach once only at 9 PM and pick up at a designated spot at 10:30 PM.

To go to the local village, we can a taxi for you, which will pick you up from the resort.
There are many restaurants all over Koh Chang island, a few within walking distance should you wish to have a change and eat outside the resort.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information.
Looking forward to welcoming you to Ramayana Koh Chang Resort & Spa.
Warm Regards,
Vikaran Shivdasani
