The hotel is nice. There is a swimming pool and a nice, sandy beach. The bungalows are comfortable and rather clean - sometimes you have to ask for an additional toilet paper or shower gel. The restaurant is fantastic due to the amazing food. BUT... The problem is that you can come to the restaurant from outside the hotel and it happens there are no tables available for the hotel guests. It is not good. The same problem is that also people from outside come to the swimming pool and there is no place available for the hotel guests. There is also a "rule" that people put their towels on the sunbeds by the pool early in the morning and they do not use them for a longer time, so there are no sunbeds available very often

Only $50 a night for a decent bungalow this place is walking distance to everything in lonely beach. Really nice staff, epic sunsets, great food and fire dancers every night. I’ve stayed here twice now and will stay here again. Also has a full massage team that work flat out everyday. Get yourself a rub down while listening to the sound of the water

We visited New Years Eve 2021 and had a fantastic night with friends. Loved the layout and vibe of Nature. As we were booked at another resort at the time we moved to Nature Beach Resort on the 7th to 25th Jan.

The resort is fantastic in all aspects from the rooms been fabulously designed and spacious to great restaurant on beach. Pinky at front desk was lovely and very helpful, especially as covid restrictions were on at time. The resort was very quiet due to the restrictions which gave us our own slice of paradise. The beach was amazing and peaceful. We ate at the resorts restaurant almost everyday, which is beautifully setup for chilled and relaxed sunsets. The food and staff were fantastic. Big Thankyou to all the staff and service who were all very helpful and friendly. A special thanks to one worker Dan who was absolutely brilliant. He was always happy to help and always made sure we were having a great time, and really made us welcome everyday.
Amazing and talented fire shows, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding.

Thankyou again to all the staff for wonderful stay at Nature Beach Resort, an absolute amazing resort. We will see you again very soon👌

Living in Thailand I always have great experiences however this was not one of them, even the hotel is actually overpriced I enjoyed the stay there because I usually stay in more high end resorts but this was a dive trip so budget was ok (at 2500 per night).

I know the staff did a good job accommodating me as a walk in customer even though I had to change rooms I did not really mind.

However - when the boss wanted to charge me an extra night because according to her I didn’t check out in time this was completely unreasonable. The staff may have told me that this night I had to move room as well, I had not understood this and by being diving all day they could not reach me.

As I would have done myself , they cleared my room so the other client would have no issue, I simple miscommunication that was resolved one would say.

Not for the owner, even her own staff did not agree on the subject she insisted I paid double rate for that night.

All her rooms where paid for, no loss at all just to take an extra 2500. And when I did not agree to that she just kicked me out, point and final, even I had already paid for the room.

Staff told me that it was because the client was not a client but a friend from the owner, whatever.

I have never ever experienced such a bad customer experience anywhere in a hotel, all over the world.

Even you paid they still kick you out of the hotel.

Thank you to the understanding staff, I tipped her

Sad sad sad

Response from Duangphat Sitthipat, Owner at Nature Beach Resort Koh Chang
Responded 17 Apr 2022
Hi! Thank you for the review. Sorry, it took me quite a while to get back to your review! The thing is no matter how detailed your review seems to be, I can’t but feel there were a lot of details that your review doesn’t touch upon. Therefore, please kindly allow me to offer our side of the story to shed light on those missing parts. We hope that our response proves helpful for those coming across this review so that they can decide for themselves. I’m going to try to get this straight, point by point. You said, “you didn’t check out in time”. However, we believe you didn’t just not check out in time. You were nowhere to be found for the whole day and only showed up again in the evening, way past the check-out time. Our check-out time is before 12 pm and we believe this is standard practice everywhere. Those more high-end, “less overpriced”, (never mind that you were traveling at the busiest time of the year) resorts at which you had previously stayed should have accustomed you to such a simple convention. You checked in as a walk-in guest on the 27 of December aware that you would have to move rooms every single day throughout your entire stay since we had extremely limited availability. In fact, on the 28th you had already experienced moving to a new room. So, I’m not sure why you could nonchalantly say that “you didn’t understand” that you would have to move to a new room again on the 29th when you actually came to pay for your new room that morning before you disappeared or, in other words, went diving. Our staff’s English skills should be adequate enough that they wouldn't have trouble communicating that you would have to vacate your room you had stayed the night before. While you made it sound like you were treated unfairly because the guest waiting for the room was the owner’s friend, the thing is that it was thanks to the fact that it was the owner’s friend that we had avoided greater damage. We considered ourselves lucky. What do you think we would have had to do if the guest had been some random guest who came to check in at 2 pm and found out we had no room to give to her because you had failed to vacate your room properly and decided to be unreachable. Don’t you think we would have had to compensate her for wasting her time, or even worse, for not having her room ready for her due to the problem that you caused? We only took the liberty of vacating your room on your behalf when many hours had passed and you were still not reachable. The owner even had to monitor the room when it was being vacated by the housekeeping to make sure that all your valuable belongings were being cared for as we were aware we did enter your room when your stuff was still in it. Last but not least, we didn’t charge you that extra money that you mentioned in your review and gave you the full amount of money that you had paid us earlier that morning back. In the end, we didn’t charge you a single baht for this whole fiasco. It would have been helpful if you had been fair or kind enough to not deliberately omit this very important part in your review. We always appreciate constructive feedback but we also believe that feedback should begin with truth. You said you have never experienced such a bad customer experience anywhere in the world, we say we have never received a review that is so economical with the truth from anyone either. So don't be too sad sad sad.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and big.

Disliked · No privacy at all. The curtain has to be closed at all times because our room was just one big window to look through and outside of the room was a pathway with everyone walking passed. The outside space is just a concrete stage with 2 plastic seats. There is no shade outside the room or most of the resort. Very few sunbeds around the pool area and a few deck chairs on the beach with no shade. The tv has one channel in English and it as RT which is a stupid news channel that reported on the coronavirus all day long. The place is so hot the only place to cool down in the sea or aircon in our room. I found all the staff unhappy or not interested in me. We were so happy to leave the resort and go, as it felt like a prison

Better don’t choose this place.
Non foreigner friendly reception, when they have local customers for 2 days, they move foreigners to upgrade room (NOT FREE)
Firstly said for one day, after change for another room.
If customer don’t want upgrade room, and pay more extra, better to loose customer.
Foreigners - just tourist who don’t come again!!
Many another hotel, upgrade room for free, just have noisy air condition. That room very dirty air conditioner, and all night dropped water from aircon.
Staff said “sorry wait morning, morning our engineer will going looking”
Ant and fly - anywhere, smallest black ant. Bite so painful.
When we tell we want our room, they tell “your room full, if you want upgrade pay more, don’t want go out”
Near here have similar small bungalow with more cheaper price.

We stayed in one of the older Budget huts. These are at the back and not quite as new but for us they were fine. Decent size, nice balcony (although non get any sun), good bathroom and comfortable bed. They have a/c, fridge and kettle. Advantage of being at the back is they are quieter. Resort is right on the beach with fab sunsets. Breakfast was included, buffet style with eggs cooked to order. Choice of Thai and western including fresh fruit. Close enough to walk to the village (via the beach). Staff friendly and helpful.

I love this little place.
If a hip laid back scene is your thing you’ll love it here.
The food is ok and the staff are on point, smiles, helpful and a sense of fun.
The beach is top notch if a little dirty in places.
The music is a chilled Ibiza style sway.
A couple of things to point out.
Lonely beach is dead., since Covid it’s like a shadow of its former self.
I’ve been here many times and spindly beach was the youngsters location, sadly not no more.
Yep it’ll get repaired and busier with time but not now.
If you want the old lonely beach vibe then you’ll be disappointed.
If you stay here then the only place outside of the resort ids Kai Bae.
It’s around 10 mins on a scooter same taxi.
The other thing I would say about this place is it’s a cigarette smokers paradise.
I don’t smoke and really found it hard to stay in the Sala or outside restaurant.
My T shirt reaks of nicotine 🤢
A pointer would be non smoking places where people eat as it’s just polite and much more welcoming to a non smoker.
All in all worth a visit

It was a wonderful, beautiful and relaxing stay at the Nature Beach Resort. We were there for the first time and would love to come back next year. We had booked one of the front bungalows. It was clean, nicely furnished and the bathroom was very spacious. In the evening you could sit comfortably on the terrace in front of the bungalow and let the day come to an end. The breakfast (from 7.30 a.m. to 11 a.m.) was very plentiful and delicious. We lacked nothing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and also looked after the children in the resort with care and love. Simply great! We ate very well in the restaurant every evening. Even though it was very stressful in the restaurant at times, the staff did not let it get to us and served the guests calmly and friendly. The owners of the resort also gave you the feeling that you were very welcome there. We felt very well looked after. See you next year.

Thank you for everything....Korb kuhn maak
And for the staff: Orkurn chran

Super nice donut place with a perfect location right by the beach. Nice bungalows, great restaurant and very friendly staff. Tat is a real superstar!

A short walk south from the hotel is a small center with a few shops, pharmacies and nice bars. On the way there, we saw a bunch of monkeys several times, which was appreciated by everyone, but not least by the children.

Really recommend this place. Of all the hotels we have stayed at in Thailand over the years, this is one of the absolute best and definitely the most affordable. We are coming back!

Our wifi cover every room abd everywhere in the resort. Our beach is swimmable and sandy. We have an in-house massage parlor. You can find shops and establishments in the town which is located about 700 meters from the resort

Hi Dylan, when I went in May 2017, I did not have one in the bungalow I stayed at. I bought a small one at my local store before my trip (i.e. Walmart).

There was a storm that took the sand away. Now the sand is back and the beach is beautiful as usual.
