We read all the reviews and proceeded with caution. We met Deter, the German owner, and knew what people might have been talking about. Deter is set in his ways and is retired so he should be! (At least we think so) He took us around to show us the resort and let us know what we should expect and...

We've been there at "no season" with only one other couple, so I guess many things are a bit different in high season time. The location itself is split up in two spots. The first rooms are in the forest, in the mountains, some meters away from the water. The seconds are on the water, on sticks, where the restaurant...

This resort is very peaceful and in a beautiful setting. The small amount of staff are friendly and do their utmost to give you a great stay. The food is delicious. Take advantage of the free canoe. Not sure why some reviews complain about the german guy who helps run the resort, he is kind and helpful. Five stars. The...

Very beautiful spot, not on the beach, but with a great pool, lots of opportunities to kayak (for free) and swim off the docks like in the olden days. The rooms are simple its true, but very clean and everything works. The location is beautiful and the food is good. Not a high end luxury option but a lovely place...

Cheap, We pay for what we get. I was more than happy with this place. Quite, So peaceful and beautiful views. Very lonely and far from the crowd. Very Comfortable, Maybe new beds would be a good idea, even a TV in the room. Clean and tidy. No bugs and great value for money. The food was extremely well done....

I stayed in this hotel quite a long time: 10 nights (1200 for 9 nights instead of 1300 for 10 nights). The room is good and it is very peacefully which is a very good point for people looking for silence. The Thai cooker makes delicious food and it's worth the price. Peter, the German man who helps the Thai...

We stayed here over New Year period with our two sons aged 9 and 7. Perfect place if you want quiet, water sports (kayaking, sailing), jungle treks if you want, bikes and good food. Quite nights and although a trek to get to from the ferry was just what we wanted. It is also next door to the seafood restaurant....

Okay, the first thing you need to know is that the resort is not your typical resort style setting. It is half on a jetty and the other half is an apartment overlooking the water. So don't expect a beach unless you want to kayak there, which is possible and fun and Deiter will even lend you a kayak for...

I originally booked this place as having looked through pet friendly places it was hard to find too many on Kho Chang. I e-mailed prior to my stay and explained I was taking my two dogs with me (both very well trained and non aggressive. Upon eventually finding this place I walked through a litter strewn drive for about 300...

1. We can not accept dogs in the resort over the water as space is limited and dogs can not find a toilet but have to make their belongings in the hotel or restaurant area. 2. It is not true that the guest asked for permission to bring two dogs along. If he would have asked we would not agree....

“We stayed in the Island View rooms which were perfect. Great breeze, you are literally on the sea. Our one room was a corner room with an aditional view of the fishermen at work as well as the sea and islands. If you were to spend most of your time at the pool then the Hillside rooms would be more convenient. ”

“rooms are on the water, but there are also rooms up the hill beside the swimming pool. We preferred the ones actually on the water”

“Ask for the room at the end of the pier. You get an extra window and a cool airflow at nights without the noise from the aircon..”

“Get a room on the pier, the sound of the wild from the forest starts at 5 am and doesn't end until after dark. Although others have complained about sounds of water I would have preferred this to the forest. There aren't many rooms on the hill, two are adjoined with a door which can be unlocked without a key from one of the rooms, we noticed this when talking to our neighbour and trying the handle as it is a push button lock on our side, so we could have opened it at any time. We did not see the rooms above us as we were in the middle option room even though we paid for the larger size room however the other couple who stayed in those rooms said the view was not as good as there were a few more trees obscuring the room they were in. I've tried to give an idea of the layout as it's hard to see what the deal is from the website or pictures, basically there is a pier with maybe 8 rooms and the adjoining plot is owned by the resort, there is a ramshackle boat repair/junkyard net to the pier and a gate where you walk up a driveway to the rooms. The pool has a stairway up from the driveway and from the upper level and room adjacent to the pool. There are 2 rooms next to the pool with a connecting door and an upper level with maybe 5 more rooms.”
