We stayed here for 3 nights. When we arrived we were shown 4 rooms and were able to choose which one to stay in. We chose an upstairs room. It wa lovely. I heard some noises the first night and went into the bathroom where saw a lizard looking at me. When I got up I discovered the handle on...

Stayed for over a week at saffron. Staff were really helpful and flexible to our changing needs. The rooms are lovely and they have rustic charm to them. really great spot, very peacefully but you ideally need motorbike to get around to local beaches. The food at this restaurant is a little bit more expensive but is worth it for...

Once you open the door of their bungalows, the folded bath towel swans welcome you, but I was disappointed that there were no mirrors anywhere in the room. Also, the drain in the shower must have been clogged because I had to stand in dirty backup water while showering. It would be nice to actually fix the hole in the...

We choose a sea view bungalow, more expensive (1600 bht), which was nicely decorated. The graden is very nice and the restaurant the best we had in Thailand. You can swim there, but it is not a sand beach. This is the only minus. The owners are great!

Ian of Baan Rim Nam (another great quiet spot!) recommended both the restaurant and the guesthouse to us. The food is amazing, the staff friendly and helpful and the rooms beautiful. The restaurant is overlooking the sea - it is peaceful and quiet, almost serene. The only downside for a lot of people will be the stony beach - but...

Didn't actually stay at Saffron, but up the road at Pennys. However, the standard of this restaurant is legendary. It has the most beautiful setting, so much so that over the course of our time there, we went for 4 meals. I travelled with my partner, but ate out with friends, we would have 6 people for dinner every evening....

What a nice place to stay! This is a great spot to relax and unwind for a couple of days.. and a couple more! The restaurant is excellent and in a very romantic and relaxed setting, and the food is delicious- and one reason for the many return guests! The bungalows are spacious with air-con/fan/and tv, do show some wear...

I chose Saffron on the Sea as it was recommended in the Lonely Planet Guide,It's family run, very clean. friendly and a small slice on heaven tucked away on Pearl Beach. I requested a bungalow facing the water and that's exactly what I got. If you're looking for upmarket accomm' then this may not be your spot. If you want...
