Nicely located resort, with rooms right on the beach. There are of course also rooms that are a little further away. From the beach but we had booked a beach room, you walk directly from your room onto the white sandy beach. Furthermore, there is a standard and restaurant and right at the beginning of the complex the shops start and eat tents where you can of course eat cheaper as in the hotel

It was a lovely place to visit with the family, we had the front beach hut which was on the beach with amazing views of both the sea and the swimming pool.
The room was very clean and nicely designed and the staff very friendly.
We also had breakfast included, limited choices for food but what they had available was very nice.
You can walk along the beach to restaurant and bars or if you prefer you can go out to the main street where you have more choices, we had a kebab from a street vendor which was amazing.
Also in front of the hotel there was a tour office which we did the afternoon trip to three islands which was well worth the visit.
It's a place I would recommend.

Been to this resort three times. The location, beach right out the front, pools, rooms all immaculately clean. We visited late September and right in the middle of Thailand's Covid pandemic so very few visitors and I feel for them. But the breakfast which is normally full buffet and included in the room rate has been reduced to a choice of 4 things...Fried rice, Frankfurts and eggs, Franks and scrambled eggs and Franks and omelet. A couple of pieces of toast and jam. The photos show ham, eggs and franks but the ham MIA with no explanation. There is not even any tea or fresh milk. Instant coffee, powdered milk and hot water. Now I understand it may not be practical to have a buffet with a handful of visitors...but would it kill you to put out a plate of fruit, maybe a choice of a couple of cereals and fresh milk? at the least. These things aren't expensive. Maybe not a big deal to some but it kind of left a little bit of a sour taste in our mouth. Other small thing was the first Ferry leaves at 6.45am, and I am sure they know this. Why then did we have to go searching for someone in reception (opens 8.00am??) to get our 500 baht key deposit back? I feel sorry for these people in this crisis, but come on guys, somethings don't cost a lot but sometimes mean a lot. Maybe the manager might crack a smile and acknowledge her customers sometimes too when sitting in the dining area.

This hotel is NOT good , the room pictures on agoda are showing something totally different from what you will discover : very old style hotel , rooms are small, very dark ( only a small windows) , pillows and mattress are very hard . Bathroom is is very old , no place to put your bellongings in the bathroom. Guests cars are parked in the middle of the hotel next to the rooms. The only hotel in Koh Chang that has no sun beds on the beach ( only deckchairs) and around the pool , the sunbeds don't have cushions , so very unconfortable. We stayed 4 nights and , 1 day, room has been partly cleaned and 1 day , room has not been cleaned !! Finally, breakfast is very average : the same that any others basic hotels in Thailand.

Absolutely beautiful resort, the landscaping and the buildings design is stunning. As are the two swimming pools, beach from restaurant with great food, the beach itself was wonderful, so quiet and you felt like had a private island. I swam every day. Most importantly - the staff here go above and beyond everyone from manager, to housekeeping, front of house, gardeners, pool staff, restaurant staff, the whole team at Coconut beach were very kind people and I'll always remember that. Very sad to be leaving, absolute paradise. Also very close to 7/11, street vendors, massage and cafes/restaurants.

The sandy beach is the star attraction here. Large trees provide shade, and there is a variety of chair options along the beach, including a couple swings at the water's edge. No shortage of helpful staff at the beach bar/restaurant, which has nice food.
There are two swimming pools and the grounds are natural, complimenting the casual ambience.
The rooms and bathrooms are adequate, as is the breakfast buffet.

The lady receptionist in the headdress upon arrival was cold and unfriendly. The curtains kept falling down. The rooms looked nice but when inspected required renovation and the bathroom looked like it had been fitted in a hurry with bare brick and pipework available. The furniture was old and tired looking.
The private beach was not clean with Covid masks, broken bottles and some pills on the sand

Great location on the beach. The two small pools are sufficient but there is little space for sun chairs at the oceanfront pool. The whole resort complex is visibly old and with multiple signs of neglected maintenance. The staff is friendly and helpful. The negative thing is the very poor standard in the Wanishapool building. The bathroom was moldy and dirty and the room completely run-down. We upgraded to a much better building/room for 500 bath per night. However, the bathroom was still not properly cleaned. The flat surfaces were clean alright but the shower cabin rails and shower head holder were all very dirty/moldy. The wi-fi worked fine.
The breakfast buffet was OK, but the restaurant food a disappointment. The thai dishes were quite poor compared to elsewhere in the area.
Everything is nearby, such as bank, convenience store, pharmacy, scooter rentals and so on.

Been here in thailand for almost 6 years . Never have come across a halal resort, that served complete halal food . The staffs were very friendly especially the night dining staffs . The beach was exquisite , pleasant leisure . Swimming pool was fun , so much family friendly crowd, a must try huge array of delicious breakfast , even their restaurant menu were reasonably priced and very decadent. We loved spending most of our time in the beach and sea . Over all a lovely fun stay with family. My 8yrs old daughter had all the fun she cried when we left the resort..
The room we chose was next to pool, but it was old and there were many lizards which spoiled our night sleep . But the individual beach and sea view villa are good .

The Coconut Beach Resort provided a pleasant stay. The hotel was very clean though a little out dated as well as the staff being reasonably friendly.
One issue we had was that the breakfast was too repetitive and got very boring, particularly the western menu. The beach isn’t very wide either.
