Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent 4 nights at Paradise Palms and we couldn’t have been more satisfied with our stay. From the moment we arrived Matt and Tara made us feel super welcomed, remaining attentive and friendly throughout our whole visit. Matt shared great stories and plenty of good advice regarding the island, he was also very helpful in arranging a motorbike for us as well as boat tickets to Koh Mak. It was such a pleasure waking up everyday to the sound of the waves and birds singing, and stepping out onto the patio to be greeted by Matt’s friendly face taking care of their beautiful yard. We really couldn’t have asked for more!

Our wonderful bungalow had everything we needed (have to highlight the extra comfy king-sized bed and large bathroom!), and the resort itself is located near several restaurants and grocery shops, however, has managed to maintain the island’s natural beauty and a secluded feeling. We also loved swimming here and weren’t bother by the rocks at all. Just take care getting in and out of the water, as some of the rocks on the shore were slippery.

The place is very down to earth and has a wonderfully chill atmosphere to it. We really did not want to leave. Stay here if you are looking for something authentic, clean, and calm - and to top it off, right by the sea! I would be amazed if someone could not relax here. Thank you Matt & Tara for having us, we’ll definitely be back!

We discovered this place by chance and are really pleased we did! Tara and Matt made us feel so welcome and it was a joy to wake up to the sound of the sea every day. Our two young boys loved bringing their breakfast down to the seating mats by the sea in the morning, listening to the mina birds and spotting beetles. We visited at a time when Koh Chang was at its most hectic, but felt immediately calm once we were back at Paradise Palms. It is quiet, but a few minutes walk (taking you past a lovely Thai restaurant and a great vegetarian cafe too) to the main songthaw route. We wish we could've stayed longer and are sad to have missed the camp fire on New Year's eve. We hope to visit again soon. Thanks to Matt and Tara and to their daughter for doing our laundry!

We stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed a lot! Tara and Matt made us feel welkomed and tooked really good care of us. The place is peaceful and beatifull. Bungalows are big and clean and the fridge is huge. The beach is rocky but you can still swim and snorkle in there, just be little careful when you go to the sea. There is sunchairs were you can relax, take a nap or maybe even listen Matt’s funny stories :)

Near is a 2 big markets and many restaurants. We recommend!

Thanks a lot Tara and Matt!

If you’re looking for a calm and relaxing place to stay on Koh Chang - this is it! We stayed at paradise palms for 9 days and it was absolutely perfect. Matt and Tara are super attentive and made us feel welcome. Matt even took us on an early morning jungle hike :)

The place is super peaceful with three bungalows surrounded by a big garden. The bungalows are spacious and cosy and have all you need. The resort is right at the seafront and there’s a sun Terrace and some chairs for sunbathing.

The beach is rocky, so you need to be careful when going in the water. But there’s some really nice snorkeling spots. And the sunsets are amazing!

Definitely recommend coming to paradise palms resort for recharging at the sea :)

If you’re looking for privacy, tranquility, and the perfect place for nightly sunsets; look no further! We just spent 10 days at Paradise Palms tucked away from crowds and I couldn’t have asked for a better vacation with my husband and parents. We rented a truck to explore the island and to visit different beaches but always felt happy to return to our bungalow at the end of the day to watch the beautiful sunset. There’s a shrine with a nice view we hiked to almost every morning for our exercise and refueled at Saffron on the Sea (a restaurant within walking distance from Paradise Palms). Just pack some water shoes (the beach is made of stones), leave your worries/stress at home, rent a moped/car, come with a relaxed attitude, and I promise you’ll have a great time. Matt and Tara are wonderful hosts and we are looking forward to our next visit.

This small family run business .with just 4 bungalows directly on the had kai muk beach
This place is perfect if you want to get away from the mass tourism on the sandy beaches ...kai muk bay ..is a rocky beach .with great swimming and snorkeling directly from paradise palms ..
There are many restaurants for eating cheaply near by ..by walking and the main supermarket just 400 meter away !
paradise palms can arrange all your tour and transport to your next destination .even get a motorbike for rent .
we love this place so much ...we will be coming back again for family holiday !

Lovely big room. Well equipped (full size fridge freezera great bonus!!!).

Matt and Tara very accommodating and help out in any way they can. In fact, we met them before our stay and they organized door to door transport. Stunning sunsets. Lovely location right on the sea. Rocky beach but still beautiful.

Quiet, peaceful place with wonderful hosts! Wonderful island! Private beach! Sun beds, table illumination of the area. We had our own terrace from which we didn’t want to leave. Each house has a sea view. Nobody bothers anyone. Many thanks to the owners who helped with all the problems and questions!
