Booked two suites with double beds for two nights. They had a promotion so as a foreigner, I paid 100$ for the suite and my local friends 100 000 kyats. At first they gave us two rooms with twin beds put together and it looked ugly and was uncomfortable. The shower drain was disgusting and full of other customers hair. We complained so they gave us two other rooms with double beds and it was obvious that they cleaned in the bathroom right before we came with special attention to the drain. What can I say? The rooms surely needed more care. The bathrooms are getting old and surely aren’t clean enough. The bed sheets were far from the immaculate white colour you’ll find in expensive hotels. But the worst was the appearance and smell of the towels. We took a shower after checking in and when we took the towels, they were so smelly that it was disgusting to use them. We asked for other towels. The smell was a little better but they were definitely more brown than white. They should be changed already. The breakfast was average with ONE glass of fresh juice for two! I won’t return to this hotel and wouldn’t recommend it. You can find better in Pyin Oo Lwin for the same price or less, maybe without a beautiful garden but a good hotel isn’t about gardens and wooden bungalows. It’s about cleanliness, comfort and service.

Very tranquil and cosy resort near the botanic gardens. The cottage offers a lot of privacy and comes with a large fireplace and walk-in wardrobe. Be prepared for the low temperature at year end as the wooden floors can be pretty cold despite heater functions of AC. Breakfast spread was decent and you can dine outdoors. Service was excellent. Wifi wasn't that strong but expected in the highlands

The Hotel is located at The Central area of the tourist attraction place. It’s used to be the best hotel of Pyin Oo Lwin . May be June is not the peak season so the experiences to stay there is not as good as December time.

Thank you for a lovely time. Clean room, nice breakfast, what more could you ask for? Close to down town. Easy access to most things. Good weather, which is a mighty nice change from the hot dessert of Yangon and Mandalay.

Charming and rustic cottages close to the National Kandawgyi Gardens. Spacious cottage (with the fake fireplace and iron poker and logs that previous reviewers have mentioned). Toilet was separate from the shower and there was even a bathtub and a separate dressing area. They even provided iron and ironing board, and chess pieces. The mini bar also stocked wine from the Shan state. Wifi worked well in the room. FYI, I saw signs in the room indicating that (1) if you fill up the bath tub with hot water, you will have to wait about an hour for the water to be heated up again; and (2) electricity is switched off during certain hours of the night in the winter season. There is a small road within the property for their buggies or cars to ferry guests and their luggages as some of their cottages are located uphill. I could hear when cars were being driven on the small road outside my cottage as well as when a group of guests returned. Before I slept I also heard some noise on the roof, like some animal scrambling on the roof before jumping down and running to the back of my cottage. Saw a cat the next morning at breakfast so that could have been what made the noise. Thankfully all was quiet once I slept although I could still hear many dogs barking from outside of the property. Having read previous reviews, I ventured out for dinner. Pan Taw Win Cafe is a 10 minutes brisk walk from the hotel. Cafe had a good mix of local and western food as well as cakes and coffee. There is free wifi and I chanced upon an article about how the Pan Taw Win cafe was set up by the company behind Sithar Coffee, a Myanmar coffee company so the coffee should be good. I saw the locals coming in to buy their coffee beans when I was there. The Taj and Feel is about 15 minutes and 20 minutes brisk walk respectively from the hotel (fyi the walk is along side the road as there is no footpath. You will also pass quite a few stray dogs.) Breakfast had the usual bread and cereal. The cooked food station had fried vermicelli, sunny side up eggs, fried rice with beans and random fried food like tofu and fish ball. I was hungry and going on a long train ride so I shall not complain about the taste of the food. Staff were helpful and can speak English.
