I was invited so was unable to make comment on the evening, which is a shame, because I always like to speak personally when things could so easily have been corrected. The front room, requested by our host, was uninviting and cold, not a good start, particularly as this is America and I usually swelter. The waitress was very good... More

We stayed at this cute country Inn...the accommodations were comfortable and clean. The place has a Pub in the basement...we were told that George Washington enjoyed a beer or two at this very pub back in the 1700s...we strongly recommend the Sunday brunch...great food and wonderful customer service

We had a nice, comfortable, and quiet room on the second floor. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast but were unable to have dinner since we were attending a wedding. My favorite part of our stay was relaxing in the breakfast area with a cup of coffee and chatting with the owner and other guests. The young couple who own the... More

The Inn is lovely and the food superb. I've never stayed at the Inn since I am a local resident, but have enjoyed the food and the people very much for 15 years. The new proprietor Bob Nicolio has done amazing things with not only the menu, but the opening of The Pub downstairs. It's a great gathering place especially... More

We didn't stay at the Inn but did go for dinner which was a nice treat! Beautiful old house that is a B&B, restaurant and pub. Our dinner was beautifully presented and nice and tasty. I had broiled rockfish which was a very generous portion topped with sautéed spinach, lump crabmeat and bacon. It was so good! The crabmeat was... More

A buffet for all taste buds! Traditional omelets, belgian waffles, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage potatoes, AND short ribs, shrimp grits, baked salmon . . . AND the menu rotates! Parking is ample and close, the decor is quite lovely, care has been taken in restoration. 1100 - 1400, don't miss it!

We felt like family at this place! The then manager, future owner was extremely accommodating. We ate and drank in the Inn as well- it was excellent! I'll definitely be back. The house itself is beautiful inside and out and the location puts you right in the center of this cute little town. You can walk to restaurants and antique... More

We spent the evening at the Inn on June 4th. Upon arrival, we were immediately treated like family. We stayed in the Garden room which was wonderful. After dinner in Colonial Beach, we returned to the Inn and spent the rest of the evening in the Pub cabitzing with the proprietor, Bob and his staff. The next morning, we woke... More

The Inn at Montross has a new owner.  Bob Nicolio is fabulous.  We wanted a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Northern Virgjnia and found a gem a couple of hours away.  The rooms are spacious and comfy.  There is a restaurant on site with unbelievable meals.  And the basement pub charming (you can also get the full... This bed and breakfast is so charming, like staying in someone's old colonial home. It only has five bedrooms, which adds to the coziness of the experience. Each bedroom is decorated in colonial style, with wood floors and antique-looking furniture. All rooms are ensuite. The inn has a living room with fire place for guests, a bar area, an intimate...
