I inquired about staying with them and she called me back. She asked “Have you had your vaccination shot?” I replied “no I haven’t “ She stated they were only renting to people with their covid vaccination shot. I was so taken aback my response should have been it was none of her business if I have had the vaccination !!! What I did tell her was that I would never want to stay at her place anyway !! Thanked her and hung up! No matter how you feel about covid and the vaccination, this is just wrong in my opinion. It is her place of business so she can run it as she sees fit. I , for one, will never stay here.

My husband and I spent two nights at The Laurel Point Retreat in October 2020. Lorraine and Jim couldn’t open the B & B (due to Covid) in their home but two cabins were available. We took the larger of the two. It has a fully equipped spacious kitchen, lining room, bedroom, bathroom and porches. The views, though, are from the porch at the main house. Everything was clean. The peace and quiet was welcome. Lovely place. Highly recommend Laurel Point Retreat!

My wife and I stayed in the Mountain View room and and had a wonderful B&B experience. Jim and Lorraine are such warm and gracious (and hard working) hosts. I am generally not a breakfast person but I could not resist the the food they prepared. Much of the food is home grown and homemade, including the maple syrup. And the view of surrounding hills is breathtaking, particularly in the morning sunrise. We are looking forward to future stays at Laurel Point.

Love this place! Steep and winding road to get here but we had the first floor room, very nice and clean. Private bath which was a walk in handicapped shower. The breakfast was delicious both morning and Jim and Lorraine were perfect hosts.

Words can’t describe how wonderful our vacation was, mainly because of our lovely, kind-hearted hosts Jim and Loraine and of course their cheerful dog Jody! We were warmly greated the minute we arrived to their beautiful home. They had extra jackets, hats, and gloves for the cold weather which was very thoughtful. We are already planning our next visit, the place felt like home!
